Manor Farm is a comfortable modern farmhouse for five standing in a splendid raised position commanding distant views over Owlpen's gently sloping valley and rich woods. The gardens are surrounded by pasture fields. A favourite with families, country lovers and dog walkers, this roomy modern farmhouse cottage is purpose-designed for holiday use but is built in traditional Cotswold style with gabled windows and traditional hood moulds around the windows. Adjoining Over Court Cottage and built to the same high specifications, the two cottages can be let together to provide comfortable family accommodation for up to nine and are a favourite for family reunions. Downstairs a porch leads to the hall with a modern pine kitchen beyond. The light and spacious sitting/dining room, with three sets of windows providing sweeping views over the valley, has an open fireplace and is ideal for entertaining. There is an interconnecting door to Over Court cottage in the entrance hall, which can be opened up to make it into one large cottage for larger parties. The cottage is centrally-heated. Upstairs there is a perfectly voluptuous 18th-century Hepplewhite king-sized four-poster bed in the main bedroom. The second bedroom has twin beds. There is also a shower room. The cottage is situated in the heart of the valley farm pastures directly under the majestic beech woods and above the Manor farm buildings and car park. •Comfortable modern farmhouse •Ideal for entertaining; easy to run •Open fireplace •King-size Hepplwhite four-poster bed •Dog friendly •Child friendly •Sleeps 4 •Adjoins Over Court to sleep 9 Manor Farm is set in a private valley on the Owlpen estate, with its 900 year-history and romance, in the most picturesque part of the Cotswolds. 2 hours west of London. Wander the gardens of the Tudor manor house at your leisure, and enjoy miles of walks in private woodland in this hidden corner Gloucestershire. Friendly staff in the Reception office deals with your wants and queries, bookings in the Cyder House Restaurant on the estate (prebooked only), servicing requirements and sightseeing suggestions. Nicholas and Karin Mander and their family live in the Tudor manor-house on site. The Cotswolds are one of England's best known touring regions of picturesque hills, limestone villages, ‘wool' churches and wealth of scenic attractions. The magical deep wooded valleys around Owlpen form its most spectacular and characteristic scenery. "Is this the most beautiful place in England?"--Fodor's Britain Guide Car recommended. 2 hours from Heathrow Airport, 1 hour from Bristol Airport. Stroud, Cam/Coaley and Kemble stations a few miles away. Prime area for bicycling and walking. Horse riding nearby. Golf, gliding, riding, antique shops, historic houses, castles and gardens nearby. But many visitors never leave the peace and privacy of the Owlpen estate, with its miles of footpaths and 800-years of history. Close by there is a pub, village shop/ post office, micro-brewery and Prema arts centre in Uley. Supermarkets and antique shops—some by Royal Appointment--in Tetbury; also larger villages in Nailsworth and Dursley.
