Situated in a quiet residential street, a mere hop skip and a jump to the Train Station, shops, pubs and eateries in the small Craft town of West Kilbride and adjoining Seamill. Our Victorian flat is very light and spacious with high ceilings and fully equipped with everything you will need...a real home from home. Central heating is gas, with a separate gas stove in the sitting/dining room. Main bedroom is large and faces onto Arthur Street, as does the smaller Twin Bedroom. Filled with favourite "bits and pieces" from our travels over the years. Our flat is NOT a Travel Lodge or similar! There are a variety of Board games and puzzles in the central wicker table in the Sitting Room which you are welcome to use, as well as the numerous books, including those for the " Little people" A Record Player with several albums might bring back memories and the installed Alexa is programmed to select your choice of music. The outer Main door leads into the Hallway where Number 5 is the door on the left. The entire flat is accessible to guests. The garden is communal, although the patio area is traditionally used by ourselves and of course our guests. Please respect my neighbours when using the garden .The drying green is used by all 4 flats. The kitchen door leads on to this area and can also be reached via the driveway to the right hand side of the detached building. This entrance is open with no gate. Access to the accommodation is via Master Lock, the code being sent to guests a couple of days before arrival. Should the need arise and you need help with anything, I am available...not in person, but via my Mobile number which I will give on your booking. If I, for some reason cannot solve your query or emergency, I will contact my brother, who is Co- hosting and works locally. Together we will endeavour to fix it. Of course I'm always available for any directions or queries, should you need them. West Kilbride is situated in North Ayrshire on the west coast, overlooking the Firth of Clyde, Goat Fell and the Isle of Arran. The views are breathtaking. The beaches are beautiful and only a short walk from "The Village", as it is affectionately known. Westy is Scotland's first ever designated Craft Town where around 8 Studios house a variety of Craftspeople, many of whom are award - winning with an international profile. Within the village there are a variety of shops incuding Hairdressers, Barbers, Convenience stores, Pubs, Take Aways, Greengrocer and The Kandy Bar Bakery selling fresh bread, rolls, cakes and award winning Scotch Pies. The first class local Butcher, Climies, will sort you out and is very helpful. All only a few minutes from the doorstep. West Kilbride is well suited as a base should you be attending a wedding at Seamill Hydro Spa Resort or The Waterside Inn and for exploring the islands on the west coast and further afield. * Recently opened Cita Tapas Restaurant situated in refurbished Train Station which is getting great reviews. * Champioship 18 hole Golf Course in nearby Seamill. * The Barony Centre A magnificent refurbished Church which provides an exhibition space and a focal point for the town's industry.
