Surrounded by lush lawns and magnificent views of the mountains to the north, we guarantee that you will instantly relax. Mountains that rise 1500ft (457m) above sea level are contrasted with sights of the ocean to the south allows for a quiet retreat. But just a stone throw away, is the town of Kleinmond that bustles with activity, offering shopping, eating, drinking, taking in the sights and many available excursion options. It really is the best of both worlds. Our family cottage has two bedrooms and is perfect for a couple and two singles or children. We are able to push the beds together for a couple. Each unit is tastefully decorated with the hues and warmth of the indigenous flora (fynbos & proteas) and is equipped for self catering. The units are large and spacious and the front porch has its own dining area and braai (bbq) to enjoy the outdoors. Your cottage is one of 2 attached cottages in a unit. They are however completely separate from one another with no inter leading doors. Your private patio is yours to enjoy. There is a 900m walk which you are welcome to enjoy on the farm. There are some restricted protected areas such as the Protea plantations. These are clearly marked for your convenience. We ask that you please respect these spaces. We are here if you need us. Our check in and guest relations manager, Wayne is always on call. Kleinmond is filled with historic tradition, beautiful landscapes and various outdoor activities. Whether you want to play golf, enjoy nature or go on a wine tour, this is a holiday destination you won't forget. Situated on the famous whale watching route, Heuningklip (translated to Honeyrock), a suburb of Kleinmond, is nestled between the ocean and the Overberg mountain range. The lodge, Honeyrock Cottages, is at the foot of the Kogelberg in the biosphere of the same name. It's best to have your own transport, but we can arrange a shuttle from the airport for you, or suggest a supplier that can assist. In the area, you are able to book transportation to neighbouring towns with ease. There is also a reliable Tuk Tuk service in the area. Please note that the water is safe to drink, but as this is a farm stay, it is a little brown. We do provide a starter amount of bottled water for you in the fridge and also a bottle in the bathroom for brushing of teeth. We know that the city folk are a little nervous of brown water :) Also, please note that there is no dedicated wifi for guest use. You are however welcome to bring a mobile or pocket device. There is cell 3G and sometimes 4G/LTE coverage at the units. There is however wifi at our office which are more than welcome to tap into when required.
