Set in its own walled garden, there are stunning southerly views over the Owlpen valley. Popular with families, especially those with dogs, this friendly cottage housed one of the 'thirteen weavers of Owlpen' before the decline of the Cotswold woollen cloth industry in the 1830s. It is built of Cotswold stone and has magnificent southerly views and an old cottage garden, set about with traditional Cotswold dry-stone walls. Nestling below the hanging beech woods, it lives up to the name ‘Fiery Lane’ which leads here, from Old English words meaning "a wooded hill". INTERIOR Downstairs a porch leads to the hallway and a cosy English mid-Victorian sitting-room with an open fireplace. The farmhouse dining-room has antique furniture, including a traditional English country settle, pine dining table, and Hogarth prints. The fully-equipped kitchen features a fridge/ freezer, microwave, dishwasher, walk-in larder and tumble drier. The cloakroom downstairs has a wash-basin and lavatory, and a utility area with washing-machine next door. The cottage is centrally-heated. Upstairs are three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed with lovely views over the valley. The second bedroom has twin beds, and there is also a third small single bedroom. The bathroom has a bath with over-bath shower. The cottage is situated on the lane to the village, above the farm pastures on the left of the valley. It has a large, enclosed private garden with gorgeous views over the valley and a table for al fresco dining. Situated in the Royal Triangle in the heart of the Cotswolds hills the historic cities of Bath Cheltenham and Cirencester are all within an easy drive as are the cultural and scenic attractions of Oxford Blenheim and Stratford Upon Avon which are popular day excursions. An ideal base for the Horse Trials at Badminton and Gatcombe Park and racing at Cheltenham.
