Farmtoun is transforming from a small eco bed and breakfast into an environmentally friendly self-catering cottage apartment! Located in our converted farm steading. Ideal rural location for families or small groups looking to escape to the countryside and enjoy the surrounding attractions and natural landscape. Please see our profile for reviews from Farmtoun as a bed and breakfast for guest feedback Old, stone farm steading conversion (build 1761), all on one level (small steps and ramps within), simply and tastefully decorated, kept cosy by our biomass/solid fuel boiler with eco products available and used throughout, well provisioned kitchen, comfortable lounge / dining room, clean and functional. We live in a separate area of the same building so are on hand if you need us, happy to take an active role in assisting you with local information and advice or to leave you in peace to explore and enjoy, whatever is your preference! Small hamlet in rural Angus, very easy access to surrounding areas, feels very rural despite being close to the arterial A90, lots of bird-life ;) but no amenities within walking distance. Glamis castle is a 10 minute drive away. The coast, the Cairngorms National Park, cities of Dundee, Perth and Aberdeen all less than 1 hours drive. Our own diverse smallholding is close by (we grow vegetables and fruit, and keep hens, ducks, rare breed sheep and goats), and there are short and longer walking routes from the apartment. Plenty of nature to see! Finding us is easy we are a short drive from the arterial A90. Sadly having a car is essential for guests as there are no public transport links close by, however, if you have bikes, the area is very popular with cyclists.
