Solway Retreat is a 2 en-suite bedroomed holiday cottage which is semi detached , we live next door in the B&B, Alexander House, also on Air B&B. We are 1 mile from the English/Scottish Border in the World Famous Village of Gretna Green, renowned the world over for runaway weddings. Central location close to all village amenities and transport links. Perfect location for touring the beautiful area of Dumfries and Galloway and only a short drive to Hadrian's Wall and the Lake District. Modern open plan lounge/living/kitchen with huge picture garden view window and 2 en-suite bedrooms off the main room. Private off road parking for 2 cars, secure storage for bicycles. Guests have private parking, private entrance and access to the whole 2 bedroomed cottage. There is a garden and seating area at the front of the property for their exclusive use. We live next door in the B&B which has a separate entrance and parking. We are available as we live on site but contactable by mobile if we are not at home. We are set in the heart of Gretna Green - the Gateway to Scotland and the wedding capital of the world. Close to Blacksmiths shopping complex and marriage rooms. Gretna Gateway Shopping Outlet Village. Hadrian's Wall Country & the Lake District are a short drive away. Dumfries & Galloway forest park is on our doorstep for cycling, fishing, sailing, walking, birdwatching. Close to Gretna Green Railway station. Bus stop 15 metres from the house. We are 100 metres from an electric vehicle charging station. M6 and M75 and M74 are five minutes from the property.
