You can reach by foot Cerro, (5 minutes by car, 25 min. on foot)and the MIDEC, the International Museum of Ceramic Design with a permanent collection and temporary exibitions, workshops for children and ceramics courses. Laveno, Luino, Intra by car and Stresa, the Borromean Islands, Arona and the Switerland by ferry-boat. Lugano, Switerland, is only 50 minutes from Villa Maria, by car. Not suitable for children from 1 to 7 years old because the mezzanine open on the living room. Babies, not walking, and children more responsible are welcome.
