The Petit Prince Studio at Chateau Mareuil

Our bijoux medieval chateau is situated in the middle of France in a pretty corner of the Vienne Region. This place is great for couples; our recently renovated studio apartment is an absolute delight with double bed, kitchenette and en-suite shower room; it also boasts it's own private terrace. It's also suitable for a young baby with room for a travel cot. In season, our new luxury 12m x 6m pool is also available to our guests plus there is a cosy bar/games room on site with American Pool. The Chateau de Mareuil is an ancient medieval castle which is at least 700 years old! It has been beautifully restored, it is small and perfectly formed! We live on site in the pretty gite to the left of the main picture. There is an ancient "Donjon" and various other outbuildings to explore. The gardens are extensive and full of fruit and flowers with several delightful places to sit, sip wine and admire the view. There is also a games room with pool table and bar on site. Outside, you have free access to explore the gardens and river bank - why not take a picnic down to the river? From August 2018, our brand new 12m x 6m pool has been available to guests. We live on site so will be on hand to help and advise. We have a small dog, Misty a rescue Jack Russell who lives with us and 4 rescue cats. We also rent out the castle which sleeps 10. Mareuil sits in a rural environment and you will need a car to get around, although there are lovely walks and we have bicycles at your disposal. Our nearest village is Brigueuil-le-Chantre, about 30 mins walk away, nearest shops are in Lussac les Eglises, 10 mins away by car. The nearest towns are Montmorillon, La Trimouille and Le Dorat. There are train stations at Montmorillon and Le Dorat - Paris is about 3 hours away by rail. Ryanair fly daily to Limoges and every other day to Poitiers from London Stansted, other UK airports also have routes to these airports. The Beautiful Climate!
