Mirabella - Monte Petriolo

Mirabella is a chic apartment nestled in the castle walls of an old hamlet on top of a hill. The views from the property are spectacular. This two story apartment offers all the needed amenities for either short stays or long stays. Located in the country, Monte Petriolo is a small hamlet that is only a short distance (5-10 minutes by car) from the nearest town of Tavernelle and 23 km (30 minutes by car) away from the city of Perugia. Mirabella is a two storey 1 bedroom beautiful apartment. With its amazing views over Lake Pietrafita, this property is ideal for short or long holidays or for rentals. Once through the front door you enter the open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area. To your left is a small storage unit with a chopping board and other kitchen utensils for your stay. Then you have the kitchen that has a combination oven/microwave, a coffee maker, a two hob gas stove (lighter provided), a standard front loading washing machine and other kitchenware for your stay. Then there is the indoor fire stove. A small amount of wood is provided free of charge for your stay but if you require anymore than you can either purchase more from us and we will deliver the wood to your door or you can purchase more from the local supermarket Gala in Tavernelle. All utensils and a lighter are provided. Next to the fireplace you have the dining area. The breakfast table is ideally located to look out of the juliet balcony which overlooks the beautiful Lake Pietrafita. Across the room is the sofa which is also a sofa bed and if it is needed as a bed, we will provide the bed linen needed upon request. If you would like the bed made before your arrival, you will need to request the sofa bed when booking. Downstairs is the master bedroom with the en-suite. Once again there is a window down here that opens up onto the view of the Lake. In the bedroom is plenty of storage for clothes and other items during your stay - and this can be seen in the photos. There is also a desk located next to the bed with a socket nearby which is ideal if any work is needed to be done during your stay. In the en-suite is a full bathroom: a shower, sink and toilet. The whole apartment has recently been renovated and finished to the highest quality. The entire apartment is for your own use. Please be aware that the bottom of the outside stairs has shared access with the other apartment below. You may encounter other guests but this is the only small area that is shared. This property is entirely for your own private use. You will not be disturbed by the hosts at all. But if you have any problems or questions, please contact us at anytime. Monte Petriolo is a small village located in Commune di Perugia. The Castle, of medieval origin and with an ellipsoidal plan. Structured according to a concentric scheme with a triple circle of houses, in ancient times it had about ten towers and towers. Church of S. Lorenzo (XIV century) is located inside the walls. It houses a permanent nativity scene, prepared in 1942 by Perugian artists with clay statuettes, and a painting of the Martyrdom of San Lorenzo, from the Sienese school. The bell tower (that still rings on the hour) is decorated with mullioned windows and a characteristic red brick roof. Church of the Madonna delle Grazie (1517), located outside the walls. Inside there are a number of frescoes made safe and partially restored in 2006. Monte Petriolo is only a short drive (about 5-7 minutes) from the neatest town of Tavernelle that has all the local amenities that you would need (restaurants, supermarkets, shops). But if you want to see historical buildings, see amazing views, eat delicious local cuisine than this village is only a 30 minute drive from the city of Perugia. Given the location of the property, guests will ideally need either to have their own car to get around or be willing to use the bus (the bus stop is located at the entrance to the village). Even though there is no parking directly outside of the property, there is a main car park near the entrance to the village, just further on from the bus stop. This car park is free of charge and is only a 1 or 2 minute walk from the property. There is a small space in front of the property where you can load and unload but you cannot leave the vehicle there as the road is narrow. If you are concerned with narrow roads and streets then we would recommend that you just park in the main car park and walk over. If you prefer we can offer you a drop off service and collect you and drive you round to the property with your bags from the main car park to the property. Please just let us know in advance to make sure we are available. Even though there is not any parking outside the property. There is a small space for loading and unloading outside. Once you’ve finished unloading, you can park you car in the main car park near the entrance to the hamlet. This is only a short walk (1 or 2 minutes) from the property.
