Dear friends, we are glad to introduce you to our way of life and all facilities and atractions at your disposal on your holiday time in our property. We live in the area and sometimes spend week ends and relax weeks in our apartment. We love walking, nature and weather condition in this part of Europe. Summer is not very hot, winter is the lovely season for walking and cycling accros white villages in the mountains, rivers and ravines. We like skiing. We live in the coast but we go very often in the ski season to Sierra Nevada, ( 1 hour driving distance to ski resort) so there are magnificent facilities. Almond trees bloomsons, orange and lemons valleys full of colour in the winter, sunset by the Mediterranen sea beaches are very beautiful. History villages, gardens, markets with fresh vegs and fish from the Motril Harbour, will be found in the area. Cheap price services in restaurants make possible a nice gastronomic experience. Tapas bar in Velez are cute, very friendly and wifi free. A choice of restaurants with good quality and prices are available within walking distance. For shopping we suggest Granada, or Motril Moll Alcampo, with big choice of everything you may need and free parking. Almuñecar, Nerja, or Malaga offer nice history visits and shopping facilities. This is a real andalusian village. Quiet but nice. And close to sea and moutains, valleys and cliffs, rivers, moorish style villages, the beautiful and Monumental Granada, the International Málaga city and airport. An information Pack is available for customers in the apartment (maps, brochures in english, travel guides, nature guides, walks..) The village is very safe, people is quiet. The appartment is in a very peaceful location, with nice views to the valley, avocado and tropical fruits fields, and also views to the Castle and Velez old town. A history water source comes from the mountain the village and passes by the square, creating a nice atmosfere. First impressions will be found as soon as you make the Heritage Velez walk, with castle, narrow streets, parish church and viewpoints. Gardens and Water Walk is a lovely easy visit including the Nasride History Garden, Caves, old irrigation ditches, and water fountains. You can't miss the Nacimiento Spring. It is one of the most surprising and natural sceneries in the town. Valley tropical fruit and Riverbed Walk is another nice option. Avocados, salads, tomatoes, cucombers , and many other vegetables are available in the Velez fields anytime in the year. Find the BBQ area close to the river and enjoy a nice meal on your own. The Waterfall and Rules Dam walk is an option if you like architecture and great engineering works. This dam takes water coming from the Sierra Mountains for the distribution accros the coastal villages and fields. Countryside walks around Velez. Mines walk, Lagos Lujar walk or the walk to The Ecologic Farm Las Torcas, are amongst others, interestings routes to make an interesting insight into the land.
