Pickwicks House

Pickwicks Cottage is situated in the peaceful hamlet of Ecorsaint in the heart of the Burgundy countryside. This romantic cottage has been renovated from an old stone barn and sleeps two people very comfortably with a small single extra bed available upon request, suitablefor a younger child. The cottage is an old converted stone barn building lovingly restored and set in beautiful peaceful surroundings. As you go through the front door you walk into a cosy sitting room/ kitchen area with a sofa, kitchen table, chairs and a large wood burning stove to keep you warm on those autumn, winter nights. From here is a private patio/BBQ area outside looking over the beautiful gardens. Downstairs there is a sizeable bathroom with a shower and bath and washing machine. Upstairs there is a large bedroom that goes across the whole cottage. At one end is a double bed and at the other a small single bed can be provided which can accommodate a young child. As you drive up Rue de la Bucherie you will reach the last house on the left, this is Pickwick's cottage and there is parking provided for one car in the area just to the right. We are a small family run business and all live within a 15 min drive from the properties so are available should there be any problems during your stay. Ecorsaint is a very peaceful hamlet with no shops and no through fare. There are a small number of local farmers living in the village and a number of holiday homes for Parisians. You will need a car as the nearest cafe is in Flavigny approx. 10 minutes drive and shops are approx. 15 minutes in Veneray-les-Laumes where you will find a couple of super marches, cafe and a few local shops.
