Archie's Schoolhouse is a charming historic property which presents the perfect base from which to explore the North Coast of Ireland. On a hill at the centre of a quiet village, it is only 4 mins drive to the Dark Hedges, 14 mins to Ballycastle or Bushmills, 18 mins to Ballintoy and 20 mins to the Giants Causeway. Belfast is only 45 minutes away. The village school from Georgian times, it has been lovingly refurbished as a detached 3 bedroom home with a garage and enclosed courtyard garden. Archie’s Schoolhouse has a cosy cottage feel. Relax in front of the fire and make yourself at home. The garage is stocked with logs. To maximise guests’ comfort the house is fully equipped with modern appliances including dishwasher and washer/dryer and there is also a brand new shower room. Over 100 DVDs are provided for guests to watch. Guests have access to the entire property and garden areas. The garage can also be used to store bikes/motorbikes or to park a car. Calls will be taken during daytime hours, texts are ideal after 9pm. Feel free to always call in an emergency. The village has a large shop and post office, just a few door's away, which is open most days from 7.30am to 10pm. There are also places to eat and a number of other businesses within walking distance. A short drive away, at Gracehill, there is a well renowned golf course and smart but family-friendly restaurant. Most types of eatery are available within a short drive. Car is the best form of transport for sightseeing, guests can choose to use local taxis for evenings out etc. (Nearby Taxi firms are based in Ballymoney, Ballycastle & Coleraine). Trains run from Ballymoney to Belfast if visiting the Titanic Quarter and other Belfast sights. A car trip is also very handy and there are a number of parking options. Cycling is popular in the area. * The property has a fast BT broadband connection (50mb). * Children are very welcome. A travel cot and high chair are available on request. There is an old two-seater school desk in the living room corner, with a chest of toys beside it.
