(Englisch, Spanish, German and Dutch) Arcos de la Frontera is one of the most beautiful white villages in Andalusia in the heart of the province of Cadiz. It is a very good base for exploring Andalusia. It has a beautiful old center with many restaurants and bars and great views on the sierra. At the lake you'll find a cosy beach. Furthermore, there are two swimming pools (a municipal swimming pool at 5 min walk and a pool 'La Molinera' at the lake) surcharge open from mid June - late August. Arcos is located approximately 40 minutes (by car) from some of the most beautiful Spanish beaches on the Atlantic Ocean and only 15 minutes from the "Sierra de Grazalema" a beautiful mountainous area. Beautiful old cities such as Seville, Cordoba, Granada and Malaga are only a few hours away. Gibraltar also is only a hour and a half away and is well worth visiting. Only a 3 min. walk to the nearest mini-supermarket (Caramela) and the Bank (Caixa). A Mercadone supermarket is about 6 min. walking. There is also a big Carrefour supermarket (6 min. drive from the apartment).
