Whole house It is an ideal destination for those who want to get away from the daily routine and want to enjoy the magnificent mountain landscapes. 30 km from Turin, the house is surrounded by nature near a torrent with a pleasant and relaxing sound, you will wake up with the chirping of birds. The property is ideal for two/three people, with an independent entrance, offers guests a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with sofa bed and a large loft with double bedroom. We are Carlo and Sabina, we've remodeled the property with constancy and passion over the years. Our aim is to share a place where those who visit us can relax and regain contact with nature and with himself. It is a house the 1800s, about 1000 meters above sea level, remodeled to accommodate guests who love the mountain and the freedom to choose how to live it in any season, surrounded by the green mountains of summer, from the white mantle of snow in winter, the yellow and red colors of autumn, the scents of spring in the name of nature and sport. The whole apartment it's to yourselves, can accommodate two/three people, equipped with an independent entrance, offers guests a double bedroom on a large loft and sofa bed for single use. The ambience is rural and cozy and the fact that it's got hollow chambers and everything in it adds something... There is a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. In winter you can practice many winter sports activities: cross-country skiing, ski mountaineering, snowshoeing. There is a small ski station at Colle del Lys ski lift and the difference in level is between 100-200m at an altitude of about 1300 m. The house is located about 4.5 km from the centre of Rubiana, to get to the house you can take a longer and scenic road, alternatively there is a road whose last 2 km are constituted by a paved road with fair slope (up to 15%)but this will not distract you from observing deer or foxes immersed in nature. The house consists of two balconies and guests will have the possibility to use a green space next to the house with deckchairs and a barbecue. There are stairs to access the interior floors. We are pleased to welcome you and provide all the information you need to enjoy a simple and wonderful stay surrounded by nature and close to the forest. In the house you will find our book with all the information you need to live the house and the hamlet, you will have at your disposal maps of trails to discover and places to visit. We want the people who come to visit us to have the opportunity to discover a precious part of our territory and read an important chapter of its history. At the Borgata Acquarossa were the partisans of the 17th Brigata Garibaldi "F.Cima" led by the commander Deo Tonani. Here we breathe history and we try to keep alive its memory. Starting directly from door of the house, you can choose two marked trail: with 20 minutes of walking in the woods you can get to the "Baker of Mompellato", you will discover the taste of bread freshly baked, with cakes and biscuits and you can also buy fruit, vegetables, cheese Or you can reach, with a walk of about 40 minutes, the "Sanctuary of Madonna Della Bassa" and for the more trained you can make a ring route that continues from Madonna della Bassa , passes through the Monte Arpone and then the Colle del Lys and then down to the village Acquarossa. Starting not far from us, from the village of Celle with a nice trail of about 1 hour and a half you can reach the Rocca Sella and with about 10 minutes by car you reach the Col del Lys, from the square you can choose among many paths. At about 3 km from the house there is the Colle del Lys which during the winter season offers a ski resort with a beautiful path for lovers of cross-country skiing and snowshoes. EXCURSIONS The position of Casa Acquarossa makes it an ideal base for mountain biking, trekking and climbing routes (Via ferrata CARLO GIORDA alla Sacra di San Michele St. Ambrose m. 350). A dense network of trails and agricultural paths that run all year round, connect the municipalities of Caselette, Villar Dora, Almese and Rubiana. STORAGE OF BICYCLES For you who are a sportsman we have a closed shelter where you can comfortably leave your bike and/or other sports equipment. General store At 20-minute walk from Casa acquarossa, you can find, following the signs to Mompellato, the Mompellato “baker”, famous for bread and breadsticks cooked in brick oven and other mountain specialties. Always open for business. In Rubiana there are some food shops, a butcher and a florist. In the square in Rubiana on Sunday morning there is a very kind lady who sells the cheeses produced with the milk of her goats and cows.
