Relax and spoil yourselves in our gorgeous rural retreat. Renovated to a very high standard, the cottage offers generous living space ideal for 1 or 2 couples. Surround yourself in the tranquility of our pretty riverside garden or relax in the jacuzzi and let the world drift away. When you are rested and ready to hit the town, lively Limoux, with it's bars and restaurants, renowned not only for it's delicious bubbly, but also for it's fetes, music and street parties, is less than 5mins drive. On the ground floor is a well equipped kitchen diner, a cosy sitting room overlooking the garden and a WC. Upstairs you will find two good sized double bedrooms, one with access to sun terrace with lovely views over the river and towards the ancient Abby ruins. The first floor also has a luxury bathroom complete with jacuzzi bath and separate shower. Outside, is a delightful riverside garden and Jacuzzi, and undercover private parking for one car. Guess will have private access to the whole house and gardens. Our home is managed by a couple who live in the area and always available within office hours to offer advice, tips and recommendations. They are happy to make reservations on your behalf. For emergancies they are contactable 24 hours a day. Stay amongst the rolling plains between the Pyrenees and Montagne Noir, where the sun shines over 280 days per year, the perfect spot for both those seeking relaxation and tranquility and those in search of an adventure. This cottage offers a comfortable base to explore stunning, mysterious and ancient lands which nestle between the Pyrenees and the Montagne Noir. Ideal for Exploring the local vineyards, Cathar castles or take a pleasant stroll through gentle rolling countryside. For the more adventurous, try white water rafting, canyoning, rock climbing, mountain biking and hill walking. Then all come together for a trip to the Mediterranean to enjoy all the delights of the seaside resorts (approx an hour and 30 mins drive away), or take a boat trip on the serene and tree lined canal du Midi. The region is a Foodies paradise, with the local dishes of Cassoulet (created at Castelnaudary and featured by Rick Stein in his Oddysey) and Fricasee (from Limoux) not to be missed. Discover the excellent Malapere wines at one of the many vineyards on your doorstep, and the fine sparkling wines of Limoux (said to pre-date Champagne). Then when the day is done relax on the patio deck or take a glass of wine to the terrace to watch the sun go down. This is rural France in all its splendour. A car is essential.
