Here, in homestead Kapl, time stops, and even brings you back to the past, where you’re surrounded by beautiful greenery, peace, tradition and friendly locals. This unique traditional 170-year-old farmhouse is located in unspoiled greenery in the village of Dražen Vrh, which is spread over the ridge and is planted with vineyards. It is characterized by a preserved wooden house (Slovene: cimprača), which is protected as an ethnological monument. It offers simple rooms, restored furniture of ancestors. By staying in homestead Kapl, you will experience real ancient farm life. It is perfect for a group of 6 friends or a big family. ★ SIMPLE & RESTORED FURNITURE, BUT STILL VERY COMFORTABLE: ￫ Three rooms, prepared under the strict supervision of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Maribor, are placed in the 19th century. ￫ All ancestors furniture were restored (beds, closets, tables, chairs) ￫ Wood cook stove in the kitchen for cooking food with wood. We will be happy to show you how it works. ￫ A big massive restored table easily fits 11 people for dinner. Why not try a typical Slovenian Leavened cake made in farmhouse stove. Even though you will live on an old restored farm, we have arranged a modern bathroom with a shower, and we also made sure that you can wash your laundry in the washing machine if needed. There is also a refrigerator in the kitchen. ★ IMPORTANT INFORMATION: ￫ There isn't an internet connection on the property. ￫ There aren't modern devices on the property (no TV, no electric stove, no microwave...) ￫ Small animals are staying on the farm: dog, chickens, bees, rabbits... ★ MAKE YOUR HOMEMADE BREAD FROM A WOOD STOVE! There's nothing that says home more than a warm house filled with the sumptuous scents of good cooking and fresh bread! Cooking On A Wood Stove Is Easy! Even if you aren't used to it, it isn't hard at all! And it provides tastier meals than you can imagine. Think of homemade bread, slathered with homemade butter and fresh honey or jam. ★ FROM THE GARDEN TO YOUR PLATE Serve yourself with a fresh seasonal vegetable from the garden, drinks from the vineyard, and prepare yourself excellent stews and soups. Find chicken nests and pick up some fresh eggs for breakfast and learn how to bake a special local dish "the gibanica" in the bread oven. ★ WINE YOUR WAY! Taste local wines in the wine cellar. A wine cellar is a place full of memories and a base for socializing. Sing a toast and say Cheers! in Slovenian language. ★ JOIN IN WITH FARM TASKS! You can enter the barn with host, learn about the work in the vineyard, in the meadow, or in the cellar. You can also check the hives with the beekeeper and learn everything about honey produce. ★ WALK THROUGH THE PAST! Guests can see a collection of preserved tools and old objects, which was arranged by the Regional Museum Maribor. It is filled with the memory of the past however, it is also a value of the present. ★ WHY STAYING WITH US? We understand that while looking for your next accommodation, a farmhouse stay might not be your first choice. However, staying in a farmhouse will give you the chance to taste fresh local food, discover the beautiful and peaceful countryside of Slovenia and meet real, genuine people, and learn about history and culture. Visit us and make beautiful memories here in Dražen Vrh! The house is all yours. Guest ready & private house is yours entirely and you have access to all amenities in it. You can park your car in front of the house. Here, in the countryside, you will be welcomed by a friendly host who lives in nature and works with nature. At arrival, you will be given a short tour around the house. Please do let us know your arrival time at least 1 day before if possible. You are welcome to contact me at any time (personally or by phone). I live in the house beside yours, so I can reach you whenever you need me. You’re staying in a peaceful environment but you are close to everything at the same time. Whether you want to visit Terme Lendava, explore thermal mineral springs, excellent cooking, top quality wines, cycling and fishing, you can do all that very easily. You will have the opportunity to discover extraordinary and rare flower species but also spy on a range of animals. Relax in the slow flow of positive energy! A car is recommended. This will be a break from the daily grind. We offer relaxation, detoxification, without modern devices and internet connection or an electric stove.
