Spacious en suite double room with parking, close to Bristol airport

Comfortable double en suite room in a 5 bed modern house with glorious views over open fields and trees. Our quiet estate is above a charming village with a pub. If you're flying in/out, it's only 5 minutes to the airport. Parking is available for £3/day, plus lifts to/from airport £11 each way. We have acoustic glass replacement windows which reduce aircraft noise. A continental breakfast is included. Lin, your hostess, husband Charlie, 2 cats and a friendly bearded collie make up the team! We're located just 7 miles south of Bristol's city centre. This is a large light and airy en suite double bedroom to the rear of our house. It has a comfy 5' bed with a lovely thick mattress topper and 100% cotton quality bed linen. This, plus the black out roller blinds ensures a great night's sleep. The bedroom window overlooks the garden and across fields in the unspoilt Chew Valley. The room has a TV/DVD, DVD library, WiFi and tea /coffee making facilities. Its large en suite shower room has a fabulous double power shower plus a sink, bidet and wc. You'll find a hairdryer and convenient power points for recharging your phone... Please just ask if there's anything else you need. Despite being modern, we've managed to inject a bit of personality into it! We hope there's everything here to make you comfortable. Our aim is to provide the classic Airbnb service: personal, welcoming, reasonably-priced accommodation where you can lay your head before an early check-in or after a late flight arrival. It's also great way to break a long journey down to the West Country. Alternatively, you can base yourself here to enjoy our walks and countryside, and explore Bristol, Bath, or Wells. If you're flying out from Bristol Airport, off-road parking for your car is available, from £3 per day. This is considerably cheaper than airport parking, and saves a lot of time on transfers to/from the official parking sites. We can offer you a lifts to and from the airport for £11. Your en suite bedroom is on the first floor. There's a lock on your bedroom door and you'll have a key for your room and front door. Parking is on our drive way. If flying from the airport you may leave your car parked here for an additional £3 per day (it's secure, but naturally at your own risk). Apart from sharing our front door, you can have as much privacy as you like. We are very friendly and you'll be welcomed. Both myself and my husband are usually around, working. We're delighted to offer any help or advice about the local area, or we can just leave you to your own devices. "Continental" breakfast is included in the sunny dining room with garden views. We offer muesli, croissants/toast, butter, jams, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, and eggs any way you want. We offer fresh orange juice and as much tea and fresh coffee as you can handle. We also offer a packed breakfast if you need something on the hop for an early flight! Let us know in advance if you have any special preferences (gluten-free /herbal teas etc) as we aim to please. Our spacious peaceful house is on a quiet estate built in 2003 on the site of the former Winford Orthopaedic Hospital. In a lovely rural location, it benefits from glorious countryside views to the rear. You wouldn't believe it's just 25 minutes (7 miles) from the centre of Bristol and 5 minutes from the airport! There's a footpath a few metres from the front door which leads down to our friendly village with its pub and post office/shop. Just 10 minutes' walk (or 2 minutes' by car), the 'The Prince of Waterloo' pub offers good meals and we can recommend some really special places to eat nearby. There are a further three pubs in Chew Magna, an 8 minute drive away. We are ideally suited to people on their way to and from Bristol airport and for people visiting Bristol, Bath and the South west for both leisure or business. Public transport is poor in the village. Travellers by train can get the Airport Flyer coach service from Bristol Temple Meads to Bristol Airport every 20 minutes. There is a local Connect bus from the bottom of our road (2 minutes' walk) and the airport for £2pp each way. We can also pick you up from Backwell Station for £10. We provide an airport shuttle (at all the inconvenient hours!) for £10 each way. As we are only 5 minutes from the airport, we can also organise transport direct from the airport with a very quick and efficient service. The charge for this is £10 e/w. Also transportation can be arranged to Bristol or further afield at rates lower than Uber. There is a beautiful friendly bearded collie and two cats in residence. We love pooches, and sorry we can't accept yours - our cats would be terrified! We have smoke alarms on all 3 floors, self-closing fire doors to every habitable room off the stairwell, a carbon monoxide detector in the living room (wood burner) and a fire extinguisher in the kitchen.
