Katrič is a pretty traditional Slovenian farmhouse that has been lovingly restored retaining most of its original features as well as incorporating modern facilities. Perfectly located at the heart of the charming village of Kamno halfway between Tolmin and Kobarid and short walk to the beautiful Soca river. Katric house is a unique property for your holiday experience in the stunning Soca Valley. We look forward to welcoming to you at our house. Katrič is ideally located for any visitor who wishes to enjoy the Soča valley and all it has to offer. The house has lots of original features as well as modern comforts. The house is only a 10 minute stroll to the river perfect for fishing, kayaking, swimming or enjoying a picnic by the riverside. The house has all the facilities you will need to make your stay a pleasant and comfortable experience, easily sleeping 1-6 people. Although by special request further arrangements can be made. Have a look at our floorplans for a detailed layout of the house On the ground floor is a kitchen/dining area with open plan space to the living room with large sofa and digital TVwith DVD player and hi-fi. Stone fireplace for toasty winter fires. A downstairs toilet and boiler room for drying out any wet gear, also use of a washing machine. On the first floor is a large double bedroom with beautiful country views and old beams, a single bedroom and large bathroom with large shower, spa bath and toilet. Access off this floor onto a large wooden balcony with further seating. The third floor consists of another double and single bed with its own en-suite bathroom with shower and a further seating area with TV and games cupboard. A perfect area for the children or friends to stay. From here there are far reaching views of the valley down to Tolmin. Throughout the house there are many character features like exposed wooden beams, a stone fireplace, original wooden floorboards and antique furniture creating a rustic and cosy living space. But with a modern kitchen and bathrooms you can enjoy the best of both worlds. The whole house has FREE WIFI access perfect if you need to keep in touch with home or to check your e-mail if you cannot leave it behind!. Outside is a lovely secure private garden and seating area where you can enjoy dining alfresco and even a hand built stone bbq. There is off road parking for 2 cars. If you continue up the road past the house you will find yourself in the Triglav National Park at the base of mount Krn. Here it is possible to enjoy the wonders of mountain hiking taking in the flora and fauna or just enjoy a cool beer at the Kuhinja Planina Mountain Hut and take in the spectacular views. Just a 10 minute drive away is the pretty town or Kobarid where there are a number of restaurants, shops and bars. Tolmin is the other end of the valley where you will find larger supermarkets and more facilities. Guests have acces to a secure paved and gravel garden area with stone BBQ, also 2 parking spaces outside the house. We are on hand for the duration of your stay to help with any problems or questions you have. We live in another village not far away. Kamno is a quiet farming village a short walk from the Soca River. The house has neighbours but also privacy. Public transport is not the best way to get around we highly recommend bringing your own transport.
