Mimosa Cottage is a beautifully renovated 3 bedroomed, 15C cottage with wood burning stove, set in 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens in the heart of the Brittany countryside, sleeps 5 people & a baby (plus sofa bed for a 6th person). *COVID - 19* - Obviously everyone’s safety is paramount and so we are putting in place strict sanitising protocols to ensure you will be welcomed to a clean and sanitary environment in our cottages. The downstairs living space is open plan giving an airy, yet cosy feel with a log burning stove and old oak beams enhancing the cottages typical Breton charm. The wooden staircase leads up to the three bedrooms and the shower room with a loo & handbasin. Here there is a TV (receiving UK free view channels), DVD player, radio/CD player and a selection of games and reading material for your enjoyment. There is a very well-equipped kitchen with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, and a table with seating for up to 6 people. There is also a downstairs loo with hand-basin. Set in 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens Mimosa Cottage has its own private garden, with table, chairs, parasol and sun-loungers are also avaialble. In addition, there are communal areas which including the Games Room with a Darts Board, Table-tennis table & a variety other games, plus a grassed paddock, with a 4 metre splash pool (Open end of May - Sept), boules pitch and plenty of space to play badminton & football. These communal areas are shared with Mimosa Lodge. ** Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions some facilities may be restricted for safety in accordance with government guidelines You can Self Check-in as our properties have extrernal Key Holders. We do live on site and are available if you need us for help or advice but we try not to get in the way to allow our guests to relax and enjoy their holiday. We will of course respect social distancing. We are surrounded by the wonderful rolling countryside in the central area of Brittany, and whilst being set in this glorious rural setting, where nature abounds and the birdsong is a constant delight, our more central location is ideal for exploring the other diverse areas of this beautiful part of France. The local area has lots of fabulous trails and quiet lanes, ideal for walking and cycling. We have a number of maps and cycling/walking routes available to guide you around the local area. This region of Central Brittany, situated in the heart of the Black Mountains provides a number of activities, which appeal to a wide range of tastes. Ideally situated within the Pays du Roi Morvan (the Country of the King of Morvan), in the North-West corner of the department of Morbihan, and perfectly located to explore the whole of this most beautiful peninsular, for more info. on what this wonderful area has to offer visit the Roi Morvan tourist website: (URL HIDDEN) Whatever your preference, there is something for everyone and we are only a short drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in France. Throughout the week there are a wide variety of markets in the local villages and towns, offering an array of fresh produce and regional specialities. The main holiday periods see additional annual attractions such as the 'Fete de la Crepe' in nearby Gourin (the Capital of the Black Mountains and where it is claimed the Crepe originated), the 'Fete des Brodeuses' in Pont-L'Abbe (Festival of regional Embroidery and Lace), the 'Festival des Vieilles Charrues' music festival (France's equivalent to Glastonbury) and the internationally renowned 'Celtic Festival' in Lorient (which lasts a week!). Within the surrounding area, there are numerous sites of interest ranging from the Ancient (such as Churches/Chapels, Abbeys, Historic Monuments, Fountains and the famous Megaliths at Carnac!) to the more modern (Museums, Chateaux and Parks - both Natural and Theme). The Lakes and Bas de Loisirs (Nautical Parks) offer both the space and tranquillity to enjoy sunbathing and swimming, or for the more active, sailing and windsurfing. Reservoir and Sea Fishing is available (with a permit) in addition to many of the rivers in the area. The beautiful beaches of the Southern coast (most of which have been awarded a Blue Flag by the EC) are within an easy 30-40 minute drive. Here you will find wonderfully secluded coves, and more open areas for surfing, windsurfing and jet skiing. Golf is a firm favourite with the French; thus there are a number of lovely golf courses to be found in this southern section of Brittany. We would be glad to supply details and/or organise your golf. Just ask us for details. Other activities on offer nearby include horse riding, canoeing/kayaking, quad biking and much more. Other interests such as Art, Pottery, Regional Products and Breton Culture are well represented throughout the region. There are a multitude of galleries, workshops, exhibitions and demonstrations to be found all year round. Child friendly - Most of the activities available keep younger visitors in mind. There are lots of attractions to keep children entertained as well as encouraging discovery and learning. It is recommended to have your own transport to be able to explore far and wide. There is plenty of free off-road parking at the property. On booking you agree to our Terms and Conditions of Rental which are as follows:- - FOR EVERYONES SAFETY - Guests agree to not undertake access to the property if they, or one of their party, are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 prior to arrival. - The number of people occupying Mimosa Cottage, including children, must not exceed 6 plus 1 baby, unless the owners have given prior written permission. - The rental period will commence at 16.00hrs (4.00pm) on the first day and end at 10.00hrs (10.00am) on the last day, unless organised prior to arrival. - Guests agree to be a considerate tenant, to take good care of the property and its contents, and to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. - Guests understand that the use of the accommodation and any equipment provided therein plus any amenities on site (e.g. swimming pool, games etc) is done so at their own risk and will undertake to oversee the safe use of any such equipment by children. - The Client agrees to ensure that the internet access not be used for the illegal streaming of information of works or objects protected by copyright. author or by a neighboring right, such as texts, images, photographs, musical works, audiovisual works, software and video games, under penalty of incurring criminal liability (in accordance with article L. 335-3 of the Code of the intellectual property). - Guests are advised to arrange a comprehensive travel policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party’s personal belongings, public liability, health etc, since this is not covered by the Owners insurance. - To report to the Owners any defects to the property or breakdown of equipment / appliances within the property or the grounds. Repair or replacement will take place as soon as possible. - The Owners will not be liable to guests: • for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of Public Services to the property. • for any loss, damage or injury resulting from adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strike or other matters beyond the control of the Owners. • for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Guests if the Property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the Owners will, within seven days of notification to the Guests, refund to the Guests all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period. - Under no circumstances, will the Owners liability to the Guests exceed the amount paid to the Owners for the rental period.
