Welcome to this unique Welsh accommodation... Where cotton towels and bathrobes await. A place to rest under cotton bedlinen, Welsh wool duvets and Welsh wool organic matrasses. A refuge to relax in front of your flat screen HD TV or chill to your favourite music. And if the office still won’t leave you alone, simply access our WiFi broadband to sort out all your loose ends. A welcoming Welsh Brew tea / freshly grounded coffee tray awaits you with homemade Welsh Cakes, served with 1960s Portmeirion Totem pottery. Fresh milk is provided in the mini fridge on the landing. Other facilities include hairdryer, clock radio with IPhone/IPod docking, steam iron and ironing board. We have 2 double en-suite bedrooms available - Both bedrooms are furnished with beautiful antique furniture, paintings of local scenery and have been designed with Welsh textiles such as Laura Ashley fabric and Welsh blankets. Both 'en-suite' marble tiled bathrooms include power shower, hand held shower, good lightning, mirrors, shaver socket and 'Sea Breeze, Myddfai' toiletries. Moelwyn Bedroom - Moelwyn is a beautiful calming Earthborn 'Mitten' coloured room with magnificent views over the Dwyryd Estuary and hills beyond towards Harlech Castle. You can also see the Moelwyn Bach and Moelwyn Mawr mountains through the original pitch pine window from the gable end. The room has a double sized (195cm x 145cm) half tester Victorian bed, 18th Century press cupboard, chest of drawers, bed side cabinets with brass lamps, dimmer chandelier and Victorian basin stand with hot and cold water facility. When it's time to unwind even further, situated next door is a luxurious large bathroom (for sole use by guests of the Moelwyn room) with dimmer vintage lights and Italian marble tiles. Indulge yourself in a freestanding rolled top deep soak slipper bath with fantastic views of the Dwyryd Estuary or step into the large power shower. Guests are made to feel at home and have access to their bedroom, breakfast/sitting area in the Glaslyn room and the garden. The rest of the house is private with the host living on site. We have free extensive off road parking and secure storage for bikes, motor bikes and boats in the out buildings. Glaslyn Room: Glaslyn room is a luxurious Farrow & Ball 'Tunsgate Green' and 'Green Ground' room. The room is full of Welsh 17th Century antiques; old paintings of North Wales welcome you. This is the room where breakfast, evening meal, afternoon teas are served and meetings/conferences are held. The hosts Mirain and Geraint are passionate about the Welsh language, heritage and culture and this can be seen in the accommodation with Welsh antiques dated back to the 17th Century. Mirain and Geraint have a good knowledge of North Wales and Wales as a whole and are on hand to provide advice on locations to visit or you can have a look through the information that is available. Mirain is on hand to welcome you warmly and help make your stay a memorable one. Snowdonia: The perfect place to dream or play. With cliff-top castles, museums, tranquil forest paths and sandy white beaches on your doorstep, we’re the ideal base from which to dream the day away. Or if you’re feeling more energetic, why not indulge in a day of walking, rock climbing, white water rafting, canoeing, sailing, horse riding, paragliding, biking or even Zip World, Bounce Below or surfing. And when the day’s done, we offer safe storage and cleaning facilities for bikes, mountain bikes, walking equipment and a useful drying room, to set you up perfectly for your next day’s adventures. We can even arrange the activities for you. Young or old, there really is something for everyone. Transport: Penrhyndeudraeth is very easily accessed and central to many main towns and villages in North Wales. There is a regular bus service and the scenic Cambrian railway line extends along the coast from Pwllheli to Machynlleth, with the village station down the lane from us. There are two narrow gauge railway lines nearby. The Ffestiniog railway runs form Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog, stopping at Pernhyndeudraeth on the way. The Welsh Highland Railway runs from Porthmadog to Caernarfon. Both lines offer stunning scenery. The Wales Coastal Path runs the whole length of Wales' coast, offering the opportunity for people to wander along 870 miles of continuous coast. The route passes Taldraeth. In Gwynedd, there are 180 miles of beautiful coastline to explore. The Welsh National Cycling Trail, which connects Holyhead and Cardiff, also passes Taldraeth.
