Local wineries & breweries, antiques & collectable stores are within a 20km radius. Walking tracks in the Macedon Ranges, Hanging Rock to climb, cycling are a few of the many activities available. Many local markets at weekends are popular, especially the farmers markets for fresh, local produce. At the end of the day it is lovely to retreat back to the cottage & enjoy the scenic panorama, peace & tranquility, from your seat on the verandah (deck), with a pleasant drink in hand. A car is required, as the cottage is on a beef farming property, within 4kms of the local general store/cafe & 11kms from the nearest town. Sunnyside Cottage is situated on a small farm, so when the season is right the tractors & machinery can be seen down on the pastures producing the bales of hay.
