Les Deux Rives room 3 with 2 single beds
Room 3 is a charming, petite corner room with lovely village views. It has one extremely comfortable full size bunk-bed so it is suitable for either single travellers booking single occupancy, 2 children over 12 or 2 adults, one of whom is able to climb the ladder to the top bunk. Please do not book this room if you are not fully able or nimble enough to climb. There is a cute and compact private bathroom with a toilet, basin and shower cubicle. Room 3 is a pretty corner room with views of the river and the steps up to the church from one window and the river with the street from the other window. It is a calm space with plenty of light. It has a small private shower room. In the bedroom is a small desk for writing or taking meals plus a small chest of drawers. A kettle, tea, coffee and hot chocolate are provided. There is also a bedside table and lamp. This room is pleasant, comfortable and cosy. The dining room is in the basement and is where all guests will take breakfast. This room leads into the garden where guests are welcome to take their breakfast on warmer days. There is also a front terrace area, which can be used by guests at any time. Either myself or my brother are usually around for anything you need help with. We are always available to you. Les Deux Rives is a beautiful house with charm and comfort. It sits in the River Pique with the river running around both sides of the house, hence the name. The village of Cierp-Gaud is delightful, with pretty French houses that just please the eye. Within walking distance there is a wonderful cafe (Cafe-Bistro de La Pique), fantastic boulangerie, a Post Office, newsagent (where you can get your fishing licence) , florist, hairdressers, supermarket, mechanics and a great Pizzeria. There are also doctors, dentists and ambulance services if needed. We are 20 minutes from ski slopes, in the middle of amazing cycle country, 20 minutes from the Spanish border (if you fancy tapas), surrounded by fishing areas and there is so much more including horse riding, adventure parks, white water rafting or sitting outside one of the many cafes in Luchon watching the world go by. There is a bus stop 100m from the house with regular buses to Luchon and Montrejeau, where there are trains available to Saint Gaudens, Tarbes and Toulouse. The village car park is behind the bus stop. We have 2 small dogs. One is a puppy and can get overexcited with new people. We are training her to stay calm but there might be a bit of excited barking occasionally.
