L’Etang carp fishing lake and Gite. Set in 10 acres of beautiful countryside and landscape gardens. The Gite has an open plan living area . Bedroom 1 a double bed , bedroom 2 two single beds . The Gite also has 2 large shower rooms with toilets . One inside one outside. A terrace with table and chairs A beautiful Gite with everything you need to have a special holiday. An open plan living and kitchen area . Large comfortable double leather chairs. Coffee tables and antique pine cabinets and book shelves. A tv and dvd / french and English programs . Lots of dvds and games . There is a breakfast bar with stools. A sofa bed can be added into living room for 2 extra guests . At an additional charge . There is also a large rug on floor for more comfort. From the living room you can access the large shower room and toilet. Walk through the french doors at the back of the Gite onto the large terrace. From the Gite you can walk around our stunning 3 acre carp fishing lake . With fire pit and seating areas Also the garden with lots of beautiful trees and shrubs. Lots of wildlife. Deer, Buzzards, Heron, foxes and Badgers plenty of lizards and not forgetting our own rescue dog Archie and rescued chickens. There are plenty of walks one outside the gates takes you for miles into the Charente/ haute Vienne countryside. A 5 minute walk takes you down to the corot , the beautiful river Glane mentioned in many local books . We live onsite so are there if you need us . We can provide carp fishing . All equipment can be hired . We are also very social so have been known to enjoy a beer or a glass of wine with guests . To sit by the lake and enjoy the surroundings . If needed we can advise on local information. The town of Saint Junien is a 5 minute drive from the Gite . There are many supermarkets bars and restaurants. There is a Saturday market and lots of artisan shops. Saint Junien has a fantastic vibe. There is a huge indoor outdoor swimming pool with sauna and steam rooms and a jacuzzi pool . Great for kids and adults sun beds . Diving boards outside. The river Vienne runs through Saint Junien and so you will find lots of water spots nearby. Lots of interesting villages and towns with chateaus and markets , plenty of walks scenic spots castles and not forgetting the Sunflowers. Limoges city is a 30 minute drive the airport 20 minutes. 2 .30 hours drive takes you to the coast . Royan or Talmont. Beautiful areas . Lots of local flea markets to discover . And Restaurants to try local foods. Limoges is known for the local beef so if it’s a steak your after this is the area to try . If it’s relaxing time you need , I can highly recommend our local spa . Lots of treatments including spa days . Lunch and drinks included. Plenty to see and do .. A car is probably the best way to see the local area . But this is France so using a bicycle is a great way to explore the villages and towns. Saint Junien has lots of busses and very cheap . You can travel into Limoges city . Also Saint Junien has a train station that goes into Limoges, Limoges train station is apparently one of the most impressive in france and will take you everywhere.. a trip to Spain ? Or Bordeaux for the weekend. We do have areas around our own home we keep private and do ask guests to conform. Signs to lake are shown on trees . And we do ask that all children are accompanied by an adult at all times around the lake . And that dogs that have been accepted by arrangement through the booking by us are kept on leads at all times .
