Charming cottage labeled 4 stars. 18th century pavilion completely renovated with care in 2021. Independent with more than 1000 m2 of garden. This accommodation has a absoutely unique style. A rochelle (mezzanine) with a spiral staircase welcomes you to its atypical and comfortable space. In the center of Surgères, 3 mn walk from the castle and 5 mn from the market hall. Ideal central point to discover La Rochelle, Rochefort, the Marais Poitevin, the Islands de Ré and Oléron ... and the beaches. Antic house of 55 m2 with on the ground floor a large living room, a fully equipped open kitchen, a bedroom of 12 m2 and a comfortable shower room. On the Rochelle (mezzanine) a low-ceilinged “cabin” bedroom area, open to the living room. A beautiful terrace area and a large private garden are available to our guests, with tables and chairs, garden furniture, plancha and 2 deckchairs. Our guests are totally independent for the house , the terrace and the garden, ideal for resting. All the shops are within walking distance, bakery at 1 mn, supermarket at 3 mn... Parking just in front the house. The cottage is located in the city center of Surgères with all facilities nearby and therefore by foot. Supermarket, bakery, market, post office, bar, restaurant, various shops ... Surgères is accessible by car and train (TGV station). We can pick you up from the station, with prior request. A car rental service is available a 2-minute walk away (reservation required in advance). You will have a private and free parking space next to the cottage for your car.
