Newly Converted Self Contained Annex With Garden

The annex consists of an ensuite bedroom fitted with a lovely rainfall shower, living space with a sofa, which turns into a double bed if needed, and a newly-fitted kitchen. The property has its own south-facing garden. The annex is a perfect space for two, but can sleep up to four using the sofa bed (or travel cot) if needed. Exmouth is a seaside town in East Devon. The annex provides a great base to visit the beach, Woodbury Common for walking, or other nearby attractions. Forming part of an old school, the newly refurbished annex 'Little Travershes' used to be the laundry rooms. The property has been refurbished to a high standard. French doors open from both rooms onto an enclosed garden to create an airy, relaxed feeling to the property. The kingsize bed has a handmade pocket-sprung mattress with down and feather duvet and pillows, as well as 540-thread Egyptian cotton sheets. On request we can provide bedding for the sofa which turns into a double bed giving additional accommodation for one or two people if needed (the space is compact for four). A travel cot and highchair can be provided on request. This property is self-contained but a double gate in the fence means that it can be rented in conjunction with our other property, 'Travershes Cottage', which neighbours 'Little Travershes' and sleeps five. When rented together the two properties can share a larger garden, great for multi-generational holidays, for example. We live next door and are happy to provide information on places to visit, restaurants worth trying and activities to do. We usually meet guests on arrival to show them around the property but there is also a key safe which can be used. Exmouth is a great place to base yourself for exploring Devon and further afield. Micheal Caine's new Michelin starred restaurant is only 5 minutes drive away, as is Bicton, the base for many equestrian events. There are many established cycle routes in Exmouth and around the River Exe offering a great way to see the local area. Stuart Line Cruises offer year round boat trips leaving from Exmouth for bird watching and sight seeing. The property is on the edge of Exmouth. The town centre is about a 20-25 minute walk away and the seafront is just over half an hour's walk (5 minute drive) There are bus routes which leave from the road the property is located on. There is a garden centre a couple of minutes from the property which has a lovely little stream side cafe offering lunches, coffees and cakes. Withycombe village is under 10 minutes' walk from the property and has a couple of pubs, a village shop, pharmacy, Chinese takeaway and a couple of cafes. Exmouth train station (20 min walk, 5 minutes in car or taxi) offers great train links to Exeter and beyond. Being on the outer edge of Exmouth can be great for day trips as you can get out to nearby locations without getting caught in the seafront traffic.
