We really delight in sharing this lovely cottage and the beautiful Anglesey so are passionate to make sure that guests have the best experience that they can in a short or longer break. White Lilac cottage is in the village of Brynsiencyn on the south coast of Anglesey, only a mile from the sea and it is near many sandy beaches on the 125 mile coastline of the island. There are many outdoors sports and leisure activities as well as numerous historical sites on the island and in the mountainous Snowdonia National Park nearby. There are excellent arts venues in Bangor, Caernarfon, Llandudno and Colwyn Bay. We can recommend fantastic cafes and restaurants, for example, for that quiet relaxing meal in a country pub or in a Good Food Guide listed restaurant nearby, and of course those that are dog friendly. Travel by car is easy and we are readily accessed from the A55 north Wales expressway (10 minutes drive from the Bridge). We provide a large range of books and leaflets on local attractions as well as some maps. Cycling is very popular on Anglesey because it is relatively flat and there are dedicated cycle routes on the Island and nearby Gwynedd. Bangor (Gwynedd) only 10 km away has a mainline railway station with direct links to London, Manchester (for Manchester airport) and Holyhead for the Irish ferries. From the Bangor station you could either take the 42 bus from the main road outside the station - it stops right by the cottage after a 25 minute ride (ask for the Groeslon pub, Brynsiencyn) or jump in a taxi outside the station for a 15 minute journey. Only 50m from the cottage, the local pub (called Y Groeslon) has just reopened (August 2018) after a complete refurbishment. it s a lovely place for a quiet drink, to watch the sports or meet the friendly villagers and other holiday makers. check out the two pictures we show.
