Our luxury Shepherd's Hut is a perfect, cosy and unique place for a short stop over on business or a romantic break away. Overlooking beautiful Dorset countryside, with a range of public footpaths accessible from the door, this unique property offers a quiet and authentic countryside stay with all the comforts of home wrapped up in miniature! Free Wifi, en-suite and a country pub within walking distance. Around 15 minutes’ drive from Shaftesbury, Yew Tree View Luxury Shepherd's Hut provides studio accommodation in the Dorset village of Marnhull, the inspiration for Marlott in Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the d’Urbervilles. This pretty Dorset village has a small convenience store around a 10-minute walk from the Hut, and a beautiful 15th century pub is just another 5 minutes further. Dorchester and Salisbury are 30-45 minutes’ drive, the stunning Dorset Jurassic coast is under an hour away to the south and the historic city of Bath a similar distance to the north. We'll be available by phone, email or in person during your stay but we aim to give you total privacy. Self check in and check out is usual but just ask for any top tips on local walks, attractions and the quiet coves on the Dorset coast to avoid the crowds.
