Sitting in the heart of the pretty town of Hay on Wye, this three-bedroom property has plenty of charm and character, perfect for guests seeking a charming break in a much sort-after location. Ty Nant Fach is a cosy 2 storied, 3-bedroom period townhouse sleeping a maximum of 4 guests. The tasteful Scandi style and soft natural colour schemes throughout offer guests relaxing, pristine surroundings with a very comfortable home from home feel. Less than a minute's walk from the world famous Globe Arts and Social venue this is an ideal base for families or two couples. The property benefits from a pretty sitting room with a separate dining area, bathroom, additional WC, and a galley kitchen with access to a small garden. Stroll along to the weekly market on a Thursday, a great place to browse the colorful stalls or sit out and have a coffee and watch the world go by. There is a fine selection of quality independent shops in Hay, fabulous antique shops, and galleries as well as numerous book shops including the famous Booths Bookshop and cafe. The town center is an ideal location for morning or afternoon browsing followed by a meal in one of the many pubs or restaurants. The house is a stroll away from the river where you can go canoeing or kayaking or just sit with a picnic on the banks of the River Wye and have some free-range fun. Explore the rolling hills Radnorshire, the Brecon Beacons National Park, and the Black Mountains, Offa's Dyke, and Wye Valley. Just the perfect place for a romantic weekend away or an extended break. Ty Nant Fach covers three floors and will comfortably sleep up to four people with its configuration of three bedrooms. 3 bedrooms, sleeping up to 4 people. 1 double bedroom on 1st floor with feature cast iron fireplace and double hardwood bed. TV with Netflix and iPlayer. Workstation and swivel chair ideal for remote working. 2nd-floor king-sized bedroom (rear of house) with a metal bedstead, console table, vanity mirror, hairdryer. (Please note that this bedroom can only accommodate one person, due to there only being access on one side of the bed) 2nd-floor single bedroom (front of house) with a metal bedstead, bedside table, and bedside mirror. Child-friendly stairgates are provided between the ground and first floor. All bed linen, hand towels, bath towels provided. Family bathroom on the first floor with bath, large basin, double shower, and WC. Separate WC with hand basin. The property is entered through the front door into the open plan living/dining space which features neutral, warm earthy tones along with a lovely wood burner, chaise longue, small 2 seater sofa, and armchair. Original sash windows, Smart TV with BBC iPlayer, and Netflix. The house has gas central heating throughout with the addition of the log burner for cosy nights relaxing after a day shopping or exploring. The dining area has a large reclaimed pine dining table and chairs and a stylish French-style side cabinet, perfect for your evening drinks. Well equipped kitchen with Belfast sink. Granite drainer, hob, electric oven, Fridge freezer, washing machine (no tumble dryer but a clothes rack in the single bedroom), and dishwasher. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, kitchen roll, liquid soap, and toilet roll as well as tea bags, sugar, and milk are provided on arrival. Towels and dishcloths provided. From the kitchen, there is access via a communal path to a pretty lawned area edged with lavender and rose beds with a bistro table and chairs for your use. Please note that the courtyard immediately outside the back door belongs to No3 (the house next door) and guests only have right of way over it to gain access to the raised garden. It cannot be used to sit outside. Bookings and initial communication will be handled by Quality Cottages, and the owners/caretakers will be available during your stay if you should need anything. Details for contact will be given closer to the time of your arrival. Hay-on-Wye is a small market town tucked between the borders of England and Wales fondly known to the locals as 'Hay'. Bursting with quirkiness, culture, and adventure, it is a perfect place to take time out, relax and explore. Hay and the surrounding area has something for everyone; from a beautiful castle to the stunning landscapes of the Black Mountains, from wonderful shops, restaurants and pubs to the meandering River Wye, fabulous for exploring by canoe. Of course, if you're into books, this is the place to be. Famous for its bookshops (last time we counted there were 30!) and the world-renowned 'Hay Festival' which attracts ov (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) visitors for 10 days every year in May. Hay is a reader’s idea of heaven. There are good road links to and from Hay, as well as seasonal public transport routes, and good local taxi firms The closest Train station, approaching from England, to Hay-on-Wye is in the city of Hereford, approximately 21 miles east of Hay-on-Wye. The closest station approaching from Wales is Builth Wells, 19 miles away. Please note that as this is an old house the stairs are quite steep although there are sturdy iron stair rails in place. There is also a step down into the kitchen and steps leading up to the garden which may be an access issue for some individuals. NB. There are no locks on the 2nd floor back bedroom window and front sash windows, so please do not leave children unattended.
