RENOS JUST COMPLETED... Fireplace/55" SMART TV with Netflix & high speed internet. Open concept studio flat restored to original Post 'n Beam Charm. Quality sleep guaranteed on new queen beds, finest linens and no shortage of pillows. Sleep like Royalty. BONUS: Down the ravine is a small cabin by the river's edge. Ontario Designated heritage property winning awards for restoration. This is the place in Paris to visit to learn history of the town and the people that built Paris. Our studio flat is designed for comfort and elegance. All new beds/linens and accessories for five star luxury. Enjoy your time on computer or watching our 55" SMART TV from comfortable lounging chairs or in our 150 year old antique brass bed. Feel like royalty as this bed came from a castle. Bathroom had heated floors, high quality towels, and toiletries. The kitchen is newly fashioned from an original 1880 Hoosier and converted drysink (with modern plumbing). Full Size washer/dryer and fridge to make your stay even better if you are in town to enjoy water sports, hockey, hiking etc. Guests are welcome to sit in the sun room looking over the picturesque view of the Grand River. Lots of activity in the wooded ravine. Watch the deer sneak through the gardens. Take the stairs leading down to the little cabin by the rivers edge. We were tea in the afternoon by reservation. Complimentary Tea and Scones served daily in the elegant formal dining room of the main manor. Most of our guests are visiting Paris for the first time and are curious about the history of Paris and the Wolverton Manor. We are historians in this community and have many stories to share with our guests. If guests are here to follow their family genealogy, we are also addicted to this hobby and happy to help with their search while visiting our community. We have a wonderful downtown just minutes away and a short walk over the Nith River Brigde. Shopkeepers are freindly and eager to welcome guests to our lovely town of Paris. WE are located in close vacinity to 15 churches many that can be walked to. Two major grocery chains and several variety stores in walking distance. There is two taxi services in town. Also we have a station that received the Grey Hound Bus travelling from Toronto , London. The via train station is in the neighbouring community and we will gladly arrange to pick up guests upon arrival to Brantford Train Station. Please Note that there are parts of this home always under historic restoration. We make no apologies and there are more guests than not that truly enjoy the opportunity to see what "restoration vs renovation" really means. Through the restoration we have learned valuable history on how this home was originally built, as well as learn more about the people who originally lived here. We share that with our guests who are curious. This is not just a place to sleep, but a learning a big part of the history of the Wolverton Family, the runaway slaves who ended up here via the underground railroad and life in our town of Paris.
