Once the Forest Reefs Public School, built in 1899, now lovingly renovated for a contemporary lifestyle with all the mod cons and finishes, whilst retaining it's original heritage. Forest Reefs has been home for us and our six children since 2000. We like to welcome people to our home and introduce them to our region and all it has to offer. The two classrooms have recently been renovated with modern touches, whilst retaining old world charm. Three separate sitting areas are available in the house as well as spacious verandas, patio and courtyard. Guests have access to the entire house, courtyard and gardens Check in is available via a secure key lock box, details will be sent prior to your arrival, the entire property is available. We will be available 24/7 on phone or by email for any questions, there is also a manual with tips on how to use various appliances etc. Our property is centrally located. 10 minutes drive to the historic Millthorpe village with cafes, restaurants and shops 20 minutes drive to the city of Orange and 45 minutes drive to Bathurst. The local Forest Reefs tavern is a 1000 mt walk Unfortunately there is no public transport to or from Forest Reefs. You will need a car. We have chickens on the property that provide organic eggs ... and often free range Also, a small organic orchard which our guests are welcome to pick for themselves when in season.. Apples, cherries, plums, nectarines, peaches, apricots and blueberries.
