A lovely little house near the ocean. Situated in the trees, we are close enough to the ocean to have have beautiful views, privacy and rejuvenating ocean air. You have complete privacy with a large deck, bbq and fenced yard. The hot tub is on a covered deck so you can enjoy all year. The cottage is located in Mill Bay, close to the ocean on a rustic forest forest lane, just off Mill Bay Road and 5 minutes drive from Mill Bay shopping centre. You have a beautiful view of the ocean from the deck and living room. There is a fully fenced backyard, fully equipped kitchen that opens onto the living room, 1 bedroom and full sized dressing room and a second bedroom (or office). The Kitchen is complete with a gas stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave and everything else you need to create a culinary masterpiece. Cable and Internet are included. There is Apple TV in case you miss your Netflix and Alexa is here to serve as your personal home assistant. This is the perfect place to relax or to work. In the summer everything draws you outside and in the winter the wood stove provides a cozy atmosphere. The hot tub can be used all year round because it is under a covered deck. The closest beach access is one lane over (5 minute walk) on Mill Bay Road. You will have access to the entire space in complete privacy. This is my home and as I am currently posted abroad I am happy to share it. You will check in through a key box system. If you prefer privacy over concierge service, this space is great for you. I also lived and worked very happily in this space if that's what you're after. The second bedroom has is a queen sized sofa bed so it's great as a bedroom but can also easily be converted into a dedicated office space. Mill Bay is a beautiful little community. I am available via email to answer any questions you may have. Alexa (electronic home assistant) is here to help you with your play lists or to find a recipe but you can unplug her if she disturbs your serenity in any way. This property is located 30 minutes drive from Downtown Victoria and a 5 minute drive to Mill Bay Ferry in the Cowichan Valley. It is a 10 minute walk (5 minute drive) to Brentwood School, The Mill Bay Marina and Pub, and Thrifties complex where you can find everything you need - groceries, pharmacy, liquor store, pet supplies, clothes, coffee shops and more... In the summer you can walk down to the Marina for yoga on the dock, kayak lessons, or sailing. There are many world class local wineries and restaurants in this area and throughout the valley that offer tastings and tours. The area has lots of hiking trails and access to beaches to enjoy the weather virtually all year round. This is a very friendly and relaxed neighbourhood where kids and dogs are welcome... There is parking on the property. Most people in this area have a car. However, if your goal is to relax without a car, you can walk from the Mill Bay Ferry (about 20 minutes along a picturesque road along the water) and can walk in the other direction 10 minutes along the same road to all amenities. There is a taxi service in the area There are also buses into Victoria and the surrounding area (Cowichan Bay for example) although these are commuter buses and do not run as frequently as city buses. This property is about one hour (+) by car from the airport and ferry (you can also take the Mill Bay Ferry which takes about 20 minutes but does not run early in the morning or late at night). The great news is that you will not hear any traffic noise in this space. This is my home and is equipped as such. This is not a hotel or bed and breakfast so hotel like service should not be expected. This is a gem if you want to relax and enjoy your privacy and independence in a home away from home.
