The house is fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. With crisp White Company Egyptian cotton bedding, a White Company bath sheet and a White Company hand towel per guest. Towels are also provided for the pool. Each room is equipped with a Toni & Guy hairdyer, shampoo and shower gel. As you would expect, the kitchens are fully stocked with different coffee machines, Le Creuset and Fissler pans, sharp Wusthof chef knives and all the gadgets needed for you to entertain. We provide a large 6 ring Weber gas bbq by the pool and a 3 ring Weber bbq in the upper garden next to the Chateau. We have French satellite TV in the lower living space and UK satellite and Netflix in the upper space. L'Orangerie is rented on a weekly basis. The housekeeper will greet you on your arrival. The alarmed pool is checked mid week and again on changeover day (although someone is a phone call away if they are needed throughout your stay). The grass is also cut mid week when the pool is checked but this will be by prior arrangement with you. The village holds events all year, and markets on Monday and Wednesday. From July to early September additional events include weekly live music and a night market where the village becomes an open-air restaurant with an impressive choice of regional cuisine and local wines. Other nearby villages have differently themed night markets and several of the farms and vineyards have open days. The local wine, Côtes de Duras is similar to the neighbouring Bordeaux region. The region is dotted with pretty medieval fortified villages (bastides) with long histories connecting France and England and with a variety of grand châteaux . The large rivers of the Dordogne and Garonne are nearby and make good holiday excursions for river trips and canoeing. We recommend flying into Bergerac (35 mins drive away through the vineyards) or Bordeaux (approx 1 hr away). It is advisable to rent a car to get to the property and to enjoy the region during your stay
