Arcadia Cliff House (Mwaluganje Elephant sanct)

Jambo dear guest, and welcome to the Arcadia Cliff House. Our house is placed in a spectacular location, overlooking the Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary and the adjoining Shimba Hills National Park. Come here for a while to relax completely. Enjoy the quiet ambiance, the sound of tropical birds waking you up and the beautiful sunsets and moonrises. The view from our terrace goes on forever and you can feel peace settle down on you. The Cliff House itself nestles into the cliff face, with the rock integrated into the house. The Swahili style interiors, and ‘eco’ rooftop garden further enhance the feeling that the house melts into the cliff. The infinity pool overlooking the elephant reserve guarantees that you will feel at one with the nature below you. The kitchen is of course fully equipped with everything you need and the house boasts a large living space decorated Swahili style to create a perfect Kenyan experience. There is a diningtable inside but many people love to dine outside on the balcony where there is large a dining table and relaxing sofas – you can eat while you enjoy the stunning views over the elephant sanctuary. There is also a separate eating and BBQ area in the garden. The main bedroom is on the same floor as the living space, has a king-size bed with en-suite bathroom and built-in wardrobe. The living & dining areas of the house and the main bedroom are wheel-chair friendly. On the lower level there’s a spectacular infinity swimming pool that stretches out above the sanctuary. There are 2 bedrooms 1 level down, with king-size double beds, en-suite bathrooms and built-in wardrobes. Both bedrooms have terraces next to the pool with a sunbed for bathing or relaxing as you sip a cool drink. On the 2nd level down (reachable from the outside) there is a small bedroom with a double bed and its own bathroom – we call this the 'Cave Room' and again from the bed and the shower you have amazing views. On the 3rd level down you find the 'River Suite' - a self contained mini suite with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and 2 sitting areas - all looking right out over the elephant sanctuary and the river. The house is rented on a self-catering basis. If you wish, we can offer the services of our chef (a small surcharge applies) to spoil you even more as he cooks your meals. Daily housekeeping services are provided. The house, the ppol, the terraces and the gardens are exlusively yours. And if you need us - we are next door, or a phone call away. Whenever necessary I will try to help you with all your requests. From the Cliff House you are overlooking the Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary and you may see the elephants pass by... We can help you with arranging various activities: - a safari to any of the major national game parks - advise on places of interest - advise on where to go shopping - where to go scuba diving, snorkeling, kite surfing and deep-sea fishing, - where to go golfing - which clubs and restaurants to visit at Diani Beach (45 mins away and 3X voted "THE BEST BEACH IN AFRICA"). Transport: Airport transfers from either Mombasa airport or the Diani/Ukunda airstrip can be arranged. Inform us in advance if you will need this service. Taxi rates are approximately Kes 5,000/- from Mombasa airport and Kes 4,500/- from the Diani/Ukunda airstrip. A minibus is usually 1,000/- extra (Website hidden by Airbnb) Parking: There is ample parking for cars. Security: The Cliff House has its own night security. Shopping: Best shopping will be found in Diani Beach. Restaurants: we will gladly arrange your restaurant bookings. All activities can be arranged in advance or during your stay with us. The minimum price/per night for there Cliff House is € 250,-- regardless of how many people stay there.
