Vintage Village House

Olive House is a 120-year-old house situated in the lovely village of Gastouri, an ideal location to visit beaches and Corfu Town. It is a two-floor home that accomodates 2-4 people - a group of friends or a family. Upon entering Olive House there is a kitchen-livingroom on the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, oven, fridge, washing-machine, microwave oven and other small kitchen appliances. The living-room has a tv and two sofas, one of them unfolds into a comfortable double bed. The first floor consists of a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with a shower. A crib is available on request, for families with an infant. The house is fully airconditioned and there is WIFI. You will have the whole house for yourself. Walk around Gastouri village, touch history by visiting Achilleion - the palace of Sissy. Enjoy the terrific view revealed from its gardens. Explore the older part of the village that has narrow alleys between the buildings, most accessible only on foot, where you can see beautiful old houses with bougainvillea festooned walls built in the traditional architecture of the region. Try local quisine at the tavernas of Gastouri, drink your morning coffee at a cafe with seaview by the palace and taste fresh bread from the bakery near the house. Another of the sights of Gastouri (in the vicinity of the house) is the Queen's Well and its plane-tree. Moreover, Benitses resort is only a 5 minute drive away with a beach and a marina, as well as a wide choice of lively bars and restaurants for a fab night out. Olive House is a good base to discover the whole island as it is a 15 minute car drive to the centre of Corfu Town and close to the sandy beaches of Glyfada and Agios Gordios on the west coast. Bus service is also available from Gastouri to Corfu Town every half an hour. About parking: As olive House is situated in the old part of Gastouri village, streets in the area are narrow and only accessible on foot - cars are not allowed to drive through the cobbled alleys. However, the house is the second property of the street - that means that it is only 100 metres from the main street where parking is allowed. There is also a large, free community parking place 200 metres from Olive House. Airport pickup by host can be arranged if guests request it, free of charge. Also, if needed, I could make a small super market shopping shortly before your arrival.
