Ocean view in UNESCO Heritage Site

Solar-powered wine house located in the Landscape of Pico Island Vineyard Culture - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Just a couple of minutes driving from Madalena village, this traditional and remodeled wine house has its own vineyard on the backyard. A cozy space for two with a bedroom, kitchenette open to living room and a bathroom. The wine house is overlooking the ocean, Faial island and Pico mountain. The wine house is a traditional "Adega" from Pico island, built in huge black lava stones. The place was recently renovated and turned more comfortable, keeping its original character. It is a privileged location. Right in front of Faial island, just a few steps to the ocean and with the majestic Pico mountain as its back neighbour. An amazing place for reading, hiking, and stargazing. A perfect place to relax and disconnect from all modern things. Guests will have access to the wine house, the vineyards and all the surrounding area. Guests should be respectful of the vines. The wine house is located in the Landscape of Pico Island Vineyard Culture, some 3 kilometers away from Madalena center, where the port, most shops, and restaurants are. Close to the wine house there is a public swimming pool where guests can bathe and of course all the vineyards of this world famous landscape. Because the wine house is not in the center of the village and not served by public transportation, a car is advised. There is no public illumination on the road in front of the wine house. The wine house is solar-powered so guests should be careful with electricity consumption. The panels are powerful enough to charge cellphones, laptops and cameras but they should not be put to charge all at the same time. Guests should turn all the lights off when leaving the wine house.
