Quiet, cosy B&B with private sauna and hot tub
The B&B is located on the edge of Overasselt, a small rural village just south of Nijmegen; the oldest city of the Netherlands close to the German border. The B&B comes with a private sauna and hot tub and is the ideal destination for a private getaway for two. The area has a lot of hiking and cycling opportunities or you can use it as a starting point to explore the south eastern part of the Netherlands with cities such as Arnhem, Nijmegen and ‘s Hertogenbosch. Breakfast is by request. The B&B with private entrance is situated in a converted (horse) stable. The B&B consists of two rooms: one room with double bed and dining area; the other room with Finnish sauna, shower and sitting area. The B&B overlooks the garden and comes with a patio, lounge sets, hot tub and sun beds. The hot tub is wood fired and can be used both summer and winter. The B&B is located in an outbuilding and has it's own entrance and use of a closed of area of the spacious garden. You have your own terrace with lounge set or you can use the sun beds on the lawn or the deck by the pond. Parking is on our own grounds. The entire grounds are closed off by a fence. By request. Let us know what we can do to make your stay more pleasurable. Overasselt is located on the Meuse river and there are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities. It is 2,5 km distance from the nature reserve the Overasseltse and Hatertse fens. The formerly fortified (small) city of Grave lies across the Meuse at 5 km. The bridge over the Meuse to Grave was one of the bridges that the Allied forces captured as part of operation Market Garden in WWII. The center of the oldest city of the Netherlands, Nijmegen is 12 km from the B&B. Both cities offer plenty of dining opportunities. If you want to see a bit more of the Netherlands: Arnhem and 's Hertogenbosch are at 45 km. Amsterdam is 120 km. Some of the best mountain biking in the Netherlands can be found in the woods around Nijmegen. If you can not bring your own: mountain bikes are for rent in the area. Public transport in the village is limited. There is a bus going from and into Nijmegen, but only until 21:00. The B&B can be well reached by car, motorcycle or bicycle. (Bath)towels and bathrobes are available for our guests. No need to bring your own. If our schedule permits we can provide a luxury breakfast for 10 euro per person. For the use of the hot tub there is an additional charge of 20 euro per day.
