Welcome to B&B Coeur de Confolens! Coeur de Confolens is a 16th century grand house, located in the centre of the medieval town of Confolens, just a minute's walk to the beautiful Vienne river. We offer a vegan/vegetarian continental or cooked breakfast. Our 16th century home is situated in the centre of this historic town close to all amenities. Our beautiful rooms have period features such as high ceilings, and large fireplaces. We have a pretty walled garden with dining table that guests are welcome to use during their stay. There is plenty of free parking, including the surrounding streets and at Place Henri Coursaget by the Town Hall, just a minutes walk from Coeur de Confolens. The area is great for walking and cycling and taking in the gorgeous Vienne and Goire rivers and the Charente countryside. Confolens is named 'The petite city of character' - and for good reason! From the 12th century bridge, the 13th century church, the ancient ramparts and amazing viewpoint at Parc Sainte-Catherine, it's steeped in history with so much to see and explore in this medieval city. In the heart of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region city, Confolens is sited on the banks of the river Vienne and the River Goire, located 65 km from Angoulême, 55 km from Limoges and 70 km from Poitiers. Confolens is also a vibrant and lively city, with lots of musical events over the Summer including the famous Confolens Festival, first held in 1958. We are in the centre of town with plenty of places to eat out or grab a drink. Explore the beautiful Charente countryside with a ride on the VeloRail or tourist train, or take to the water on the River Vienne with kayak and peddle boat hire available. There is an outdoor swimming pool open in June, July & August with slides and diving boards - fun for all the family.
