This first floor studio is part of a newly finished unique group of three high quality studio apartments with a shared pool in close proximity to Georgioupoli with views of the naturally formed lake of the Almyros river and out to the sea. You can see a number of water birds swimming across the lake. The buildings are circular giving an unusual shape, almost windmill like with each one being different inside and outside. All have a fully equipped fitted kitchenette, an ensuite bathroom with a shower and a private terrace or balcony with a table and chairs. Studio 1 is a single story building and slightly larger with studios 2 and 3 being in a two storied building. The shared pool is comfortable for six people with enough sunbeds and umbrellas and an outdoor shower. There is also a seating area by the pool. They are on a good sized plot with olive trees and a newly planted garden. You can get fresh, Cretan vegetables from the garden. Relax in the outdoor stone living room. The wonderful view of the mountains, the lake or the sea, with a special landscape and cool swimming in the pool. The complex of three studios is accessible for all guests. Each studio has its own front door and private balcony. Always available The square is a 25 minute walk or 5 minutes by car where you can find a number of tavernas, cafes and shops. The square of Georgioupoli, with its fountain is surrounded of eucalyptus trees which provide shade for the cafes. Georgioupoli has many different tavernas, restaurants and bars as well as a range of shops, mini-markets and one supermarket. You will also find travel agents who can book day trips for you. In the marina you can hire boats or book yourself on a fishing trip. We recommend a car if you wish to see the many sites of Western Crete. It is possible to rent push bikes should you wish to spend your holiday more locally. Taxis are available from Georgioupoli should you wish to enjoy a cocktail or two in the many bars. It take approximately a 45 minute drive to either Chania airport or the Old Town of Chania, with the ferry port of Souda taking just 20 minutes. Rethymnon takes a mere 10 minutes.
