Hydrangea Cottage

Peaceful, spacious and charming!! We have a self-contained, newly renovated cottage in a rural situation with harbour views. Suitable for one or two couples, (one king size bed/one queen size bed) and a sofa bed for an extra person, if needed. Linen provided. The kitchen is well equipped, with a microwave, bench oven and fridge/freezer. Just a 5 minute walk to the Athenree Hot Pools and a 5-10 minute drive to Waihi Beach. Waihi Beach Village and Katikati town are both about 15 minutes away. Hydrangea Cottage is on our small lifestyle block. It sits behind our large shed and the main doors look out across the northern end of the Tauranga harbour. The kitchen window has views of our garden and lawn but you are quite private because a row of olive trees prevent you from being seen from our house. The cottage is well equiped and even boasts a small laundry. The Cottage and the lawn in front of it is your space. There is plenty of room for parking in the designated space, well off the road and secure. Our home is on the same block of land as the Cottage and as we are retired one of us will be home most of the time if you have any queries. Our neighbourhood is rural, surrounded with lifestyle blocks so none of our neighbours are particularly close to us. While there are no stock on or place (other than chickens) there is a horse and some sheep next door. The small village of Athenree is just down the hill from our place (no shops), on the northern end of the Tauranga harbour. Parking is more that adequate near the Cottage. There is a shuttle bus which goes past our door and on to Katikati and Tauranga but we would recommend that you have your own transport.
