Al Maset

Maset is a spacious apartment in a typical "maso", at the foot of the Castle of Pergine Valsugana. The peace and quiet of the place will gift you a very relaxing time. The large rooms can host a big family or a group of friends (up to 6 people), and there are 2 complete bathrooms with showers. The fully equipped kitchen is the perfect place to cook fast meals as well as elaborated dishes. Sometimes, watching out the window, you might spot some venisons passing by..:) *ASK US FOR MONTHLY RATES" "El Maset", as the people from Pergine call it, is a small maso, just beneath the Castle. Originally it was the house of the workers of the castle. Here they used to breed silkworms , firewood was stocked for winter and someone also had the hard task to catch flies for the noblemen fishing times! Today is the base of the owner, tireless traveller that decorated the house with memories of her trips. That's how in this house you'll find a New Zealand Tiki, pictures of Buddhist monks, a little cuban wooden car, an incredible Maori map over the master bedroom bed and a awesomely carved wooden chair from Zanzibar! Guest can access the whole house, except for the locked rooms. I don't live on site, but if guests need me they can contact whenever they like. Pergine Valsugana is a big village of about 20,000 population. Beside the castle, it is nice to have a walk in the village center where, on saturday morning, you can find a market. Just a few kilometres away there's the Caldonazzo lake, with beaches, water sports and a beautiful cycling road that goes until Bassano del Grappa. A short distance away there's the wild Levico Lake and Levico Terme, always hosting some interesting event. You can reach Trento by car, in about 10/15 minutes, or you can take the train that runs between Trento and Venice. Pergine is at the door of the Mocheni Valley and the Lagorai range: trekking, walks, mountain bike, horse riding...there's something for everyone! The Maset is pretty isolated, about 2 kms from Pergine Valsugana. This means it is highly recommended to come with a car.
