Views of Ben Nevis and the Nevis Range ski resort are to the front of the property and it's only a one minute walk to the Caledonian Canal from the rear where you can see Neptune's Staircase. For those with limited mobility, my home is accessed by two steps to get in the main entrance but I do have a stair lift available for easy access the second floor of the property. However, please note, we are not wheelchair accessible. Your double room contains a comfortable double bed, a wall to wall mirrored wardrobe, shelving, a chest of drawers, shoe storage, two chairs, hotel safe, bedside reading lamp, hairdryer & straighteners and tv. At the time of booking you will be sent a link for an electronic guidebook with lots of information on things to do, places to go, places to eat, etc. Guests must use the hand sanitiser gel at the locations provided and wear masks in shared spaces at 2M distance or less. Guests are welcome to use the guest lounge / dining room which doubles as a workstation space. The shared lounge has access to a fridge, microwave, kettle & toaster. Laundry facility is available for a fee of £5 cash per load and £5 per tumble dry. The bathroom is shared and contains a bath & separate shower cubicle. There is a secure shed available for the storage of bicycles, skis, etc. Guests are also welcome to use the garden for socialising or eating outside if the weather permits. I will try to home to meet all my guests but in the event I cannot be there, I will arrange for someone else to meet you or I will communicate alternative entry details with you in advance of your arrival. Guests are advised to communicate their estimated time of arrival before 12 noon on the day of arrival. I live in a modest but clean house in a housing estate. The neighbourhood is quiet & peaceful. There are views of Ben Nevis from the bedroom window (weather permitting!) and the Caledonian Canal is directly behind my home. There is a local pub two minutes walk away that serves lovely home cooked meals at reasonable prices. My home is a one minute walk from the main bus route into Fort William town centre. I live a two minute walk from Banavie train station which is a stop on the West Coast Main Line between Mallaig & Fort William. There is a local taxi firm operates from my village. Parking is available in a public car park just a few metres from my home. Parking is free.
