Newly renovated studio flat, close to Stansted Apt
Exclusive use of extremely spacious self-contained studio apartment with distinct living and sleeping areas, full-size kitchen equipped with everything you might need, and modern shower-room. Newly renovated throughout & bright modern decor. Comfortable workspace, plus garden furniture to enjoy the warmer weather in communal gardens. Flat has own front door access, and plenty of parking outside. Ideal base to visit family, to self-isolate, or work from home / on a work contract locally. The flat has it's own private entrance at the front of the building. The front door opens into a spacious porch with motion sensitive lighting. Another door opens into the hallway, with a door to the right leading to the shower-room. Following the hallway round leads you into the main room with a dining area to the left, sofa & TV area further on, and a lovely double bed on the right. Really good reliable wifi connection. (An additional work-desk and chair can be provided if you will be working from home). Behind you is the door into the kitchen. The sitting and bedroom areas each have a picture window looking out on the shared gardens. A combination of sun-filtering roller blinds and blackout curtains mean you can adjust the level and intensity of light in the room to your personal requirements, and can also keep the room nice and dark if you need to rest during daylight hours. The entire flat is newly renovated throughout - new cream gloss kitchen with grey worktops. Pale grey oak laminate flooring throughout. All new modern furniture throughout (bed, drawers, table & chairs, sofa), and huge built-in wardrobes/storage cupboards. A door at the rear of the flat gives direct access to the shared gardens, and a small patio area under cover directly outside the back door. You will have private use of the entire apartment - no sharing any space with anyone :) There is a large sunny communal garden behind the flat, with grass & flower beds. This is shared with all residents in the block. A small private rear porch off the living room is a pleasant spot to unwind on a sunny day. Self check-in with keybox for maximum flexibility. I live nearby and am available if needed, but generally find guests prefer to come & go as suits them. Bishops Stortford is historic market town, with markets every Thursday and Saturday. It is located roughly halfway between London and Cambridge so was a popular resting stop back in the days of coaches & horses. Today, it still has many of the old buildings, but is also a thriving town, benefitting from the close proximity of Stansted Airport. 2 express trains an hour link the town with London Liverpool Street, with another 2 trains per hour which stop at all stations. There are also direct trains to Stansted Airport, Cambridge and Stratford (Westfield Shopping Centre, and Olympic Park) Casual parking is available outside the flat. It is usually possible to park directly in front of the flat. It is about 10-15 minutes walk to Bishops Stortford train station with direct trains to Stansted Airport (1 stop), central London (40 minutes) & Cambridge (30 minutes). Alternatively, it's a 2-minute walk to bus stops to Stansted Airport (24-hour service) or to Bishops Stortford town centre & train station. A couple of guests have commented that the children in the flat directly above can be a bit noisy getting ready for school, or at weekends. Most guests haven't even noticed them.
