From Koper take road E751, then turn left to village Šmarje, at the end of village turn right. After approximately 4,5 km take a left to Kostabona on the crossroad Puče . We are in the center of the village after the church of St. Elia on the left side. We speak English, Slovenian and Serbo-croatian. We are simple happy people passionate about life and we believe that good communication is always possible..Always! :) Kostabona as a village is an ancient Istrian jewel mentioned in many historical documents and contemporary ethnic studies. Being a fortress village build by Romans, it is protected for its historical heritage and sites. The name derives from Castrum Bonae - after the Roman goddess of fertility. You can park Your car just before the 'main' church (at the beginning of the village) and walk to the house, which is 2 minutes away. You cannot get lost as Koštabona is quite small and straightforward. Visit the surrounding villages: they are amazing and authentic Istrian gems. Make sure to explore the nature surrounding the village. Jog down to the river for a splash. There are plenty of paths that lead to natural attractions and intriguing ruins and...shhh, we can't name it all ;) Right, left, up, down, you can not fail. The view from the cemetery to the river Dragonja valley at sunset is just stunning, just across are the Croatian heels covered with lush greenery.
