The Hidden Place - A luxurious rural retreat

This beautiful cottage is situated in its own secluded hidden place, in a peaceful and angelic rural setting surrounded by green fields and immense views of Lake Ullswater. It is within 10 minutes drive from the quaint but lively tourist village of Pooley Bridge. This is the perfect retreat for any couple to enjoy the pure beauty of the lakes whether it be a romantic get-away or active holiday. The Hidden Place is a cosy, open plan luxurious rural retreat sleeping 2 people and is spread over 3 floors. The kitchen is on the lower ground floor, lounge with log burner on the centre floor complete with TV and DVD player. The master bedroom and shower room/WC are situated on the third floor. KITCHEN The kitchen is fully equipped, along with electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. This area has an external door leading out on to a paved patio area boasting spectacular views of the fells and landscape of Lake Ullswater. LOUNGE The lounge offers a cosy living space with wood burning stove. The first basket of logs is included in the rental price and additional baskets can be purchased from the local holiday park situated within 1 mile. ACCESS Please be aware that the Hidden Place is accessed via a unmade gravel track through a field which contains a series of gates which need to be opened and closed each time. As we own The Ullswater Holiday Park, situated within 1 mile from The Hidden Place, we invite guests to enjoy the facilities offered on the park. These include: Well stocked shop Licensed bar (open from 8pm) Coffee shop with Wifi Laundry facilities Please note, all the above is available within our main season from Easter - 1st November. Guest will be given the space to enjoy their holiday in peace, however, we are on hand for help with any issues if required. The office is located at The Ullswater Holiday Park situated less than 1 mile away. The Hidden Place is ideally situated for exploring the Lakes. The surrounding fells offer walkers plenty of choice, from strenuous climbs to lakeside rambles with the Helvellyn range, High Street and some of the Wainwright's well known walks all within a short distance. The Ullswater Steamers make accessing other points of the lake much easier between Glenridding, Pooley Bridge, Aira Force and Howtown throughout the year. The Lake district centres of Ambleside, Windermere and Keswick are easy excursions from the cottage. There are numerous places to visit and things to do in the area and you are more than welcome to pick up any leaflets from the shop at Ullswater Holiday Park. There is a local bus service however we recommend you own transport to make the most of exploring the local area. Please note that unfortunately The Hidden Place is unable to accept pets and operates a non smoking policy within the accommodation. *** Please note as the cottage is in a very rural location, access from the main road is by a gravel track therefore low suspension cars are not recommended. There can be up to 5 gates that need to be opened and closed upon accessing The Hidden Place***
