Spacious garden apartment

Our lovely country style 2 bed apartment is a "home away from home." The off street parking is very convenient and you will find all the comforts you need for an enjoyable, relaxing stay in Knox. This apartment is in a quiet residential area and parties and gatherings are not permitted. The price per night is for the self contained apartment. We are able to accommodate guests in two lovely guest rooms with a private bathroom and toilet. Extra adults after 2 people, attract an additional charge. There are no extra charges for children. Large Sheridan towels, shampoo, conditioner and a hairdryer are provided. The separate entrance leads into the garden, where there is a covered outdoor area. You may care to use the gas barbecue. Our apartment, which is adjacent to our home, is ideal for a single person, a couple or a family group of 3 or 4. If required, a single inner spring mattress can be set up as an additional bed in the living room for a moderate fee. We also have a cot and a high chair. You will have the back section of the house to yourselves, including a private living room with flat screen TV and a new kitchen, with a dishwasher. The beds are very comfortable queen size beds with new pillow topped mattresses. The beds are fitted with Sheridan linen and we have 24 hour complimentary WiFi. For breakfast we provide your choice of bread, pancakes with maple syrup, fruit, muesli, other cereals plus eggs and bacon. Of course, there is ground coffee available plus a selection of tea. Our home is in a very quiet, peaceful location with a lovely garden. It is close to Westfield Knox, which is the 2nd biggest shopping Centre in Australia. There you will find excellent restaurants and a huge cinema complex. There is a bus around the corner which can take you to Boronia train station, from where you can catch a train into the city. This takes under an hour in total or less time if you take a morning express train. If you have a hire car, you can drive on Eastlink to the city in only 30 minutes. You can, of course, drive directly to Bayswater station, if you would prefer catching a train into the city. There is plenty of parking at Bayswater station. Bayswater is very close to Eastlink, and you can be at a bay beach in 20 minutes. There are fabulous bike tracks in Knox, if you have a bike with you. There are many tourist attractions nearby including: *The famous Puffing Billy – a restored steam train that winds its way through the scenic Dandenongs. *Dandenong Ranges National Park - the Ferntree Gully area has several short walks, including the very popular 1000 Steps, up to One Tree Hill picnic ground. This is part of the Kokoda Memorial Track. *Sky High, Mt Dandenong - for amazing views over Melbourne from the highest point in the Dandenongs. There you will find a cafe/restaurant, garden, picnic area and a maze. *Grants Picnic Ground sits within Sherbrooke Forest, the largest section of Dandenong Ranges National Park. This is where you can see and feed a large number of wild birds including rosellas, king parrots and cockatoos. Our international guests have loved this place. Afterwards you can have coffee in the cafe whilst listening to the kookaburras. *There are plenty of quaint craft, antique shops, walking tracks and eateries to explore in the Dandenongs. The Knox area is a popular central base in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. It is a convenient place to base yourself whilst exploring the Yarra Valley and all the wineries in that region. Healesville Sanctuary is a popular destination for animal lovers. There is a regular bus service from the end of the street. The buses go to Boronia Railway Station in 5 mins or Westfield Knox Shopping Centre, 5 mins on the other direction. We do not have pets ourselves but we allow small pets to come as guests with their owners, but the pets must be kept out of the bedrooms. Guests have access to all parts of the garden, including the deck with an outdoor setting, and to the 2 bedroom apartment. A front loader washing machine and a dryer are installed in the guest bathroom. We enjoy interacting with our guests but we leave it up to the guests to decide how much interaction they would like. The local area is quiet and peaceful with beautiful gardens everywhere. The apartment provides guests with easy access to local attractions, and a peaceful retreat for down time. There is a regular bus service from the end of the street. The buses go to Boronia Railway Station in 5 mins or Westfield Knox Shopping Centre, 5 mins on the other direction. We do not have any pets ourselves but pets are permitted to stay, as long as they can be kept out of the two carpeted bedrooms. No smoking is permitted in the apartment. There is an outdoor area for smoking behind the apartment.
