Listed Historic Mill Apartment with Indoor Pool
Fully refurbished to a very high standard. Set in the historic and centrally located Cathedral town of Dunblane, 28 Mill Court is a bright, modern, south facing luxury one bed apartment within a listed 18th century former tartan weaving mill. The apartment overlooks the garden courtyard and the Mill itself stands by the Allan Water river. While staying in the apartment guests can use the Mill's heated indoor swimming pool (8.5m x 5.5m) and sauna. Both are open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. This first floor apartment with ample free, off street, private parking is situated a pleasant 5 minute walk across the river and up to Dunblane Cathedral, the historic town, train station and Andy Murray's gold post box. The town also boasts award winning restaurants and pubs, details are in the apartment welcome notes. The apartment has been fully refurbished with new solid oak and slate floors throughout, entire new heating system, new lighting, fresh bright decoration and artwork, new black out blinds and new modern appliances. The bedroom has a solid wood king sized bed. All windows are double glazed and the walls are thick. The bathroom has a walk in shower cubicle with heated towel rail. Quality bed linen and large fluffy towels are provided, as are robes for the swimming pool and sauna (just bring your own flip flops!). The pool is just a short 20 metre internal walk from the apartment. The open plan lounge has a corner sofa with a new 43" wall mounted smart screen TV with catch up TV and Netflix to make your stay more enjoyable. The apartment has WIFI, ethernet connections and USB charging points. The kitchen overlooks the lounge via a breakfast bar which has 2 adjustable stools. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine and washer dryer. All kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans are provided. For your safety all smoke, fire, heat and carbon monoxide alarms are interlinked and compliant with the latest Scottish legislation. A fire extinguisher and first aid kit are also provided. Marks & Spencer, Tesco, CO-OP, the train station and the High Street are a 5 minute drive or short walk away. Guests have sole access to the apartment. I can meet guests on arrival at the apartment. I am contactable on my mobile throughout your stay and am only a 15 minute drive away. Returning guests are offered use of the key safe which is positioned in the garden courtyard. I have had my coronovirus and flu vaccinations. The Mill sits by the Allan Water river and has lovely walks straight from the door along the banks, via parks and through the medieval streets to the shops, bars, restaurants, Andy Murrays gold post box and of course the magnificent cathedral itself. There are award winning cafes and the walking, cycling and golf is superb. Stirling Castle, Doune Castle (Monty Python, Game of Thrones), The Wallace Monument, Blairdrummond Safari Park, Distilleries, The Kelpies, The Sir Walter Scott steamship cruise at Loch Katrine, shopping and 5 star Gleneagles are all short drives away. Dunblane sits on the Heart 200 circular touring route. This is a 200 mile route through the regions of Stirlingshire and Highland Perthshire, visits two historic cities, Stirling and Perth, as well as many attractive towns, villages, castles, lochs and mountains. There is something for everyone nearby. The Mill has plenty of free off street parking. The building sits on the Allan Water river and it is a very pleasant 5-10 minute walk along the river into the beautiful characterful town. Dunblane has brilliant transport routes with a train station with direct trains to all major Scottish cities in the heart of the town and just 5 minutes from the Mill. Buses pass through regularly and the M9 motorway is a 5 minute drive away which takes you to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling and Perth. Walking and cycling is excellent either through local parks and villages or via the many hills and mountains nearby. Dunblane sits on the Heart 200, a circular 200 mile touring route through some of the most beautiful parts of the heart of the country. This route is famous for its outstanding scenery, quirky towns and villages, castles, lochs and mountains. Longer term stays are very welcome. Stays for a week or longer, or a month or longer are both significantly discounted on the nightly rate. Fresh changes of bedding and towels are included in the pricing for longer stays. Please note there is a strict no children, smoking/vaping or pets policy within the apartment. The swimming pool and sauna are not supervised. Guests swim at their own risk. Towels and robes are provided in the apartment (just bring your own flip flops!). The indoor heated pool (29C) is 8.5m x 5.5m and is maintained by a professional pool company on a weekly basis. The pool is a short 20 metre internal walk from the apartment.
