Coet Moru Gites, Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is a pretty, traditional stone built cottage in central Brittany, located in a quiet rural area, enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The cottage is ideally placed to explore this beautiful area of France, the cottage is just a few minutes walk from the Oust River and Brest -Nantes Canal which are perfect for walking , cycling, fishing. Local villages have everything you need for your holiday with shops, bars restaurants, pharmacy, bank. Rose Cottage is a traditional stone built cottage with original beams. It has two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom can be arranged as two singles beds or one double. There is also a sofa bed in the living room to accommodate up to 2 extra guests at no extra charge. A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request. The cottage has its own private garden with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Garden furniture and BBQ are provided for guest's use. In the main garden there is a swing/slide set for children to use and there is a swimming pool, ideal for cooling off on warm days. There is ample off-road parking. Please ensure that you are aware of any national or regional covid regulations before booking or travelling. A book with information about the gite and the area is inside the gite together with leaflets about places to visit whilst in Brittany. However, as we live next door, we will usually be on hand to answer any questions you may have or to inform you of what is happening in the area. We live a quiet rural location, but are within 5-10 minutes drive of amenities such as shops, supermarket, bars, restaurants etc. We enjoy lovely panoramic views across the valley down to the Oust River and Brest -Nantes Canal which are 5 minutes away on foot. The canal is perfect for strolling, running or cycling. A fishing permit can be arranged on request. Just to the other side of the canal is a lovely Cistercine Abbaye Notre Dame du Timadeuc where you can see the monks going about their daily meditation and buy some of their delicious artisan cheeses and fruit jellies. There is a lovely inland beach about 25 minutes away where you can enjoy watersports or play a round of golf. You will need a car to get here and make the most of your stay, but the roads are very quiet and uncongested with no toll roads. We are about 1 hour drive from Rennes airport, 2 hours from Nantes or Brest international Airports. We are about 90 minutes from the nearest ferry port at St Malo and 2 hours from Roscoff. Caen and Le Harvre are 3 and 3 half hours respectively. Locally you can walk or cycle to our nearest village Rohan. You can drive to any of our local villages with amenities (Rohan, Bréhan, Crédin) within 5 minutes. The towns in the area (Pontivy, Josselin and Loudeac) are about 20km away. Vannes the principal city of Morbihan is 40 minutes by car. Both north and south coasts are about an hour away. Covid-19 Statement During the global pandemic we want to assure our guests that we are following all local and national advice to keep ourselves and our guests safe. For any confirmed bookings which are cancelled due to travel restrictions we will offer a credit note for the amount paid , valid for 18 months against a future reservation. We offer contact -free check -in and check-out with a socially distanced meet and greet. The gite is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between guests, paying special attention to high contact areas such as door handles, light switches, taps etc. Anti-bacterial and disinfectant product are freely available in the gites and guests are encouraged to use them liberally to keep the space clean and healthy. The pool is cleaned regularly and chlorine products used to kill any germs. We encourage guests to use the pool in family groups, leaving a little time between for the chlorine to work. Disposable sanitisers will be placed near the pool ladder. Guests do not share sunloungers and must provide their own beach towels. due to the bedrooms and bathroom being upstairs unfortunately these cottages are not suitable for people with impaired mobility.
