Our accommodation looks North-west out over the harbour to the entrance, and overlooks the boat moorings and Hannaford's Wharf where the Auckland Ferry docks and fishing charters depart from. The first photograph in the listing is the actual view you see from your bed. Just around the corner is Sugarloaf boat ramp giving easy access to the best fishing spots in NZ. There is always something happening on the water that can be quite entertaining at times. Top local attractions such as Driving Creek Railway and the Waterworks are a short drive away. Recently added at DCR - amazing zip lines through the bush canopy. Public transport is virtually non-existent in the immediate vicinity. There is a local taxi service and tour operators in the area offer numerous options to visit the main attractions if you don't have a car. We can pick you up from the ferry if you choose to come over from Auckland by that means. We provide comprehensive guide sheets for day trips to help you get the most out of your stay. Denise and I are always available for advice and guidance if needed. Denise provides a comprehensive continental breakfast consisting of a selection of cereals, fruit salad, home made yoghurt, home made bread, a selection of jams, fruit juice, tea and coffee You can also enjoy some of Denise's home baking on your return from your day's activities.
