Fireplace & sash windows are just some of the features in this beautiful Grade ll listed house in the centre of Downham Market. 1 minute walk to The Whalebone pub. Surrounded by a selection of restaurants and fast food outlets, 10 minute walk from the train station - Catch up TV & Netflix Self- check in - Guests have their own private En-suite Wet room and double Ground floor bedroom - leading straight out onto the Main Street. This means as we are in the centre of town - there will be road noise from cars and passers by. Please be prepared for some noise from the street and the house, as other guests stay in the main house and walls are only so thick! We have just renovated the property by adding an entrance doorway to quieten the room and have installed a double glazed window inside the original sash window to also help with street noise and warmth. No one else will have access to your room or private space. There is a desk / table for work space / dining area and television with Netflix, catch up channels fridge, toaster, kettle and pod coffee machine. Phone charging ports by the bed with starry light display. Warm and cosy, with tons of character! Lodging World Guests will have their own private room and en-suite, with private entrance via key code. Central heated with extra oil fired radiator if required. Parking on the road is for an hour during 8am - 6pm; perfect to unload and settle in. Or Morrison’s car park is a 30 second walk to the door, with unlimited parking with no worry of getting a parking ticket or paying for parking at anytime. We will interact with you as much or as little as you like. You will have your own access code to your own door, which you will receive before you arrive; but if you need us we will not be far away. You cannot get more central than this.. we are located in the midst of the town, over the road is a highly recommended Thai restaurant - which also offers a takeaway service. There are two more fast food outlets; opposite and beside and a few doors down is Wetherspoons pub and a Chinese takeaway. Two doors down from Morrison’s and a 5 minute walk to Tesco’s. The train station is a ten minute walk for guests and has a direct line to Cambridge and London. There is plentiful parking in Morison’s car park. Parking over the road is limited to one hour before 6pm and after 8am. Or unlimited every Sunday. The en/suite is a wet room / so water will disperse over the floor before it drains away. It’s an electric shower, so hot showers are always available. This is a purpose built accommodation for short term stays / it is part of our main residence and therefore it’s likely you will hear noise from the main house and street as you are directly onto the Main Street. This is reflected in the modest price for the amenities, location and accommodation provided.
