Luxury Plantation House in the country

Fully restored and modernised Plantation House (and self contained cottage), set amongst cane fields and the countryside, yet only 15 minutes from either the west or the east coasts. We can promise plenty of sunshine and beautifully refreshing breezes here in St George. The house is fully staffed and sleeps 8 people comfortably. The cottage sleeps 4 people. If you're looking for a more traditional escape, which will take you back in time, look no further. Our space here at Woodland Great House is unique in that there are very few traditional plantation houses in Barbados available who offer accommodation. You will be transported back in time and will truly be able to sit back and relax as the house staff take good care of you from the moment you walk through the door. Please note - we have 3 Rhodesian ridge-backs in residence who roam the place freely (they are allowed downstairs but not upstairs). They are incredibly friendly but do appreciate the odd walk if you fancy exploring the grounds. No lead required just a friendly whistle will do. You will have access to all areas of the house, cottage, pool and gardens. We will not be on the island during your stay but we will have a person on the island and ready to greet you on arrival, and available throughout your visit. We also have full time garden and house staff. We have been living at Great Woodland House since (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) and the surrounding community are well known to us as we are to them. It is a friendly place and we have never had cause for concern over security. One of our house staff lives just a short distance from us (10 minutes walk). You will require a hire car. It is best to hire one from the airport. We can send recommendations. You will pay approximately $50 USD / day for a mid size saloon type car with air con. And we recommend using (Hidden by Airbnb) maps to help you find your way around so ensure your phone has the ability to roam whilst abroad.
